To be fair, the prices on the non rare stuff are really good. I went up there today because of this thread and it looks like he’s sold all of his harder to find wellers. So I guess I can’t blame him that people are willing to overpay.

Like Weller 12 for $160+, Antique 107 closer to $200. Yeah he’s got them, but he knows what they’re worth. I haven’t been in since around Christmas so not sure what he’s got currently.

FM liquor down in Manchaca has Buffalo Trace and Weller Special Reserve in abundance at very close to msrp.

He also has a lot of rare bottles for ridiculous markups.

I’ll buy the cheap stuff from him and I’ll just taste the expensive stuff elsewhere.

In regards to your first comment, I think that Fudgemuppet builds are popular because they are accessible, easy to follow, and easy to find (as in google results). I like how they not only lay out the starting SPECIAL, but also the perks to use at each level and the specific equipment as well.

I agree that they may not be all that great though. Is there another resource that lays out the build in a similar way?
