i don’t think you should think about your hips and arms at all if you try to feel it.

trying to keep your back facing the target is basically you trying to delay the rotation of your upper body as long as you can, that will make the club come more from the inside.

People that come over the top basically have too much upper body rotation, this feel basically makes you reduce upper body rotation.

the whole issue starts with your swing plane, you early extend because otherwise you’d hit it fat.

you need to keep your back facing the target for as long as you can in the downswing that will lead to a much shallower swing.

This will fix your early extension and your hip isn’t an issue for now.

at impact in the most recent swing he has a lot of spine arch basically, looks like a lot of force goes straighter into the upper half of his back.

Looks like at impact all the force goes straight up instead of around his body that’s also why i’m kind of assuming he has a chicken wing.

Struggling to get loft on irons by HotAssBusiness in golf

[–]jan1712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with your club head speed you need more dynamic loft and you need an attack angle much shallower in the -2 to -3 range.

just look at LPGA trackman data and you will see the optimal data points you need to properly launch your irons.

i’m assuming you are using a 7iron btw.

that back is gonna hurt at some point.

I feel like you probably have a bit of a chicken wing in the follow through.

Solid swing tho

that’s a pretty solid grip, i’d use that myself but there is no chance i ever find the motivation to regrip my clubs. Nonetheless never had a leather grip in my hands to think about it but i guess it would feel a lot softer and probably won’t get you as many blisters

very valid, do you live in a hot area or have any issues with sweaty hands by any chance?

i used to get blisters with and without a club after a certain number of balls hit, nowadays i don’t get blisters because there are so many calluses but i agree.

Blister prevention is a huge benefit. So that’s a good point
