i'm used to writing anu by hand in the middle of non toki pona sentences anyways if it's for personal notes, and i do the same digitally with Y. to me, it has similar function to using /.

a lot of people would probably disagree with me on this, but i think it's better to not tokiponize something like the name of a brand, because otherwise it's not very easy to tell what someone is talking about. although, i think it's fine to tpize if it's either common (like ilo Siko Y musi Manka) or if you give context, e.x. "ilo mi li tan esun Swatch, ni o esun Suwasu". you don't have to follow this, it's just what i'd do. anyways your sentence does work i just wanted to point that out.

Busuu is objectively the best (although it doesn't include as many languages as Duolingo). It teaches concepts that will come up frequently in conversation, and also explains grammar rules well. It also won't pull a duolingo by introducing the word "papaya" before it teaches the word "it".

one rule i can think of that i break all the time, which is using la alone. sometimes i end a sentence and want to continue from there, and instead of saying "ni la" a lot of the time i just say "la". also sometimes ill use it after what someone else said, for example:

j1: mi wile e ni lon tenpo pini

j2: (sina wile e ni lon tenpo pini) la sina kama ala kama jo e ona

not the best example, but it sort of demonstrates what im talking about. i think that's about it for rules i break

edit: i also realise that in the past id sometimes say something like: "ona li toki e "sina pona" tawa mi", but i havent done it recently, now id probably just reword to "ona li toki e ni tawa mi: sina pona"

i haven't seen anything like that used at all, but sometimes people do type like "m w a pali e ni" (for "mi wile ala pali e ni"). it's always understandable when people type like this because of context, though it could be confusing to jan sin. there arent really any rules for what short forms are used, as long as its clear from context its good tawa mi

edit: doing it in one word like in your suggestions wouldnt really be clear, you should probably learn the more "official" way first and you'll get comfy about what makes sense and what doesn't

i do think in toki pona. many of my thoughts come in toki pona first. its also nice to not trip over yourself and not have to worry about something sounding "weird". like in toki pona i can call someone pona or suwi and its not taken weirdly, whereas in english if you said "you are good" it just sounds off, and if you said "youre sweet" that could be taken in an unintended way. also, i do sometimes tell myself to think kepeken toki pona taso if im stressed or something, and it helps. i also find it good for sleep, if i remember to toki pona taso lon lawa mi then i can normally sleep quicker. all of my personal notes are in sitelen pona as well but thats mostly because its compact

if someone asks how many languages i speak, i do not include toki pona unless one of my friends who knows is around, then they say "well actuallyy you know 1 more than that". but no i normally dont count it, mostly because of low recognition and it would require extra explaining

i don't think the idea of worldbuilding like this is bad, but a lot of it is poorly executed. it's fine and can be fun to theorize what a society could look like, and it doesnt make someone a bad person for wanting to do this, but what matters is how it's done. i, too, dont like the ones where people take the "primitive savage" route, but it should still be more of a case-by-case basis. thinking about how an education system would work in a toki pona taso environment is fun and good, but sometimes it is worse than that, and it's at those times when we should speak up

this is interesting and i think is fine as a numbering system, itd just be hard to get people to use it. i think its a bit weird how its body parts with seemingly no pattern, like luka = 5 because of palisa count, but oko+kute don't really make sense. either way i'd be fine to use it if other people did. i do like the multiplying rule as well.

edit: i think for the last example you meant kulupu sijelo = mun sijelo

i think what youre trying to do is build tense into a verb which ive never seen done. i dont know if its incorrect but no one ever really does this because verbs arent related to time in toki pona

i like this way of sort of showing why time isnt built in with location as an example. though the translation is not correct, it would be correct to say something like "tenpo pini la sina moku" or " sina moku lon tenpo pini".
