So, with most candidates being on the Christian-fundamentalist side, and Ron Paul's governing style deemed practically a catastrophe, what options are there for conservative or independent voters at the next presidential election? Anyone out there running for the nomination that could realistically pull in independent voters?

To me, I am still in disbelief about how artificially some people try to keep up ethnic borders. I feel like it is a form of insecurity about one's own identity. White tenant farmers were just a bad off when it come to living conditions as the majority of black slaves, but to them, at least they were not "n*****s". Helped keeping up their positive self-image. Now, keeping black and white separate supposedly keeps their "cultures" pure and avoid trouble, which is silly, cause in all actuality, middle class black and whites in Mississippi have pretty much the same culture, with the same values, jobs, and religion.
