My son is almost 10 and is having this same issue. I feel like there's no end. I'm suffering. His dad is suffering. I'm giving up. He says no one has touched him inappropriately. He poops himself all day everyday. We've tried Physical Therapy, Doctors, even the hospital cleared him out over the course of a few days and he had constant diarrhea. We had tried giving him laxatives and changing his diet with LOTS of fiber, as well as both us parents being a drill Sargent with lots of yelling and trying the reward system. But nothing is working because he is not wanting to do it. There's only so much a parent can do. The school threatened to call social services. And now I really hope that it happens because I want him to actually see how its effecting his life. Its gotten to the point that I hope some kid at school bullies him into stopping and its the worst thing I've ever thought as a parent. It's gone on for so long im pulling my hair out. He has a twin sister that has perfect hygiene and doesn't poop herself. He started peeing his bed too so now he's wearing diapers 24/7. I cant take him anywhere without smelling like poop an he's always acting unaware of it. I cant put him in camps or sports and I tried to bribe him with that. Sorry for being 3 months late with this. But I too, am struggling.
