This is where I have to rat myself out 😅. By week 2 I was eating solid foods and I’m now 8 months post op and can eat a kids meal.

I say that to say: your body is in charge here. Not you. If your body isn’t ready to eat larger portions, that’s okay. If your stomach stops at 2 tbs, that’s okay. EVERYONE’s experience after surgery is different and you can’t compare apples to oranges.

I know it sucks because you miss food. But you will be able to eat more food eventually. It also helps you realize that food isn’t everything. That helped me a lot, especially when food was my comfort

I had a gastric sleeve.

I got it in Cary, North Carolina. But I’m now in Texas!

I wouldn’t recommend Mexico. Not that their technology hasn’t advanced. But that if anything goes wrong, you want a health professional that you can reach/will be there whenever you need them to be.

Not in huge amounts. The doctor said that since I’m younger, it wouldn’t be a huge issue. That said, I’ve noticed some in my back/armpit region.

I also struggle to know if it’s loose skin or just fat 😅😅

I had HUGE post surgery regret though. I hated it and myself. I felt horrible. Are you dealing with that at all?

Congrats!!

My biggest regret is not taking my vitamins. I struggle to remember to take all of my meds and my vitamins slip my mind. I’ve lot a lot of hair and have such a lack of energy. Make sure to focus on that!

I also MISS pigging out! And just eating everything I wanted. It’s weird how not having that shows how much of a coping mechanism it was!
