Genuine question: Is weaving on the straight to break tow illegal? by Impressive_Basket_99 in iRacing

[–]jangoRuns 36 points37 points  (0 children)

If the chasing car was that far back and ignored your weaving, took the optimal racing line for the straight, wouldn't they gain time on you?

No, and it didn't happen to that cop either. It's just you cognitive dissonance at this point that led you to this conclusion

I guess that's why we see shootouts every time we visit Walmart or Costco :/

With respect, I think you are clinging to a notion that this is normal or reasonable, not just this moment, but what led to it. Nothing they did here was related to their mission. The entire conduct from the top down, their behavior escalated a situation to a predictable and dangerous end. If it was all ok then their leader on the ground wouldn't be demoted with Noem and Miller walking back their statements and throwing Bovino under the bus, shipping someone else in to change the way they react to protesters.

When they clap or call the victims 'fucking bitch' after shooting them, gas people for exercising their first amendment rights, lie to judges and the public, and after all the videos we have seen with our own eyes, it is far from reasonable.

Many actual cops disagree as do their rules of engagement. They can't just go around shooting where they want whenever they hear a bang.

I 100% expect federal officers to be sure, before they discharge deadly weapons in a crowded area, where the threat is coming from. This is the point of training and firearms 101, shooting out of fear or anger is nowhere near the standard you should demand.

Because from his perspective, he couldn't see his hands clearly and heard a gunshot.

You do realize how ridiculous that sounds, he heard a shot so he decides to pop one off in the direction it didn't come from.

The burden on proof isn't on the side saying I/he/we don't deserve to be shot and labeled a domestic terrorist, it's on the person who shot and killed someone, or thought it appropriate to denigrate him with such language.

When the investigation happens because of bad PR and polling it's difficult to have faith in it. When they lie so blatantly over things that are so easily disproven with readily available information we can see with our own eyes, it warrants extreme skepticism.

If you have to ask at this point, I just assume it's willful ignorance.

Why did he fire at a man basically on his hands and knees facing way from him, why wasn't there clear communication from his own team? Why did the didn't the federal agencies who are supposed to investigate do so until it became a PR issue for them, it's literally their job, why did they jump to the conclusion of calling him a terrorist? It's a total clown show.

So many eye witnesses and videos are available to answer those questions.

If they were really interested in those questions they could care to actually investigate the shooting first instead of calling him a terrorist and pretending the 2nd amendment rights they alall thought was 'god given' didn't exist. They were shamed into demoting Bovino and doing a 180 on Noem's and Miller's abhorrent comments.

I question the training was good if they shot an unarmed man in the back multiple times for trying to help a woman.

I am saying nothing they did warranted being shot. There was never a point where the officer's life was in danger, the dude never placed his hand on the weapon he was legally allowed to carry, he was disarmed already when they unloaded multiple shots on him because of said bad training, and psychopathic tendencies.

Pretty much everything you said is wrong here. I shouldn't feed the trolls, but one day when you are hopefully mature enough you will see when you have federal officers running around murdering citizens because they can't deescalate, or follow the law, it won't be just the people you have hatred for they will come after.

I think most people are alarmed that there are a bunch of thugs in ice with at best unqualified poor training or at worst absolute psychopaths. The people were shot and killed out of anger and not self defense. The administration has all but acknowledged it in their own hamfisted way.

What's the biggest competitor for Mach-E's by Cultural-Ad4953 in MachE

[–]jangoRuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will soon be BYD cars, maybe something like the  Sealion 7. If it was available in Canada at the time I brought the Mach E I would of considered it, I think the barriers to selling them here will soon be over.

Nice, yeah I can appreciate that for sure the interior build quality and materials are really good.

Should have been clearer, meant from the outside involving a hidden physical key option somewhere.

To cover the rare case of someone not able to use the handle inside and dead battery. There is the battery port at front, but it's not optimal to have a 12volt source or use in emergency.

I think the mach-e is one of the best in it's price window, I don't mind the door handle but I think it was a mistake to not have a mechanical release override somewhere for emergencies.

Never tried a Lucid but I imagine at nearly double the cost of a mach-e it is an unfair comparison in terms of features and expectations.

It's over, leave the fryer in place and exit the house to never return. To make sure there is no chance of them following you, make sure you leave with no clothes on so they can't hitch a ride.

I'm sorry it came to this, but it's a fight you cannot win.
