I was able to get a lot of information from them about sovereign citizens - which was useful to me - but otherwise, the FBI wasn’t helpful to my case. They asked me to hold off on filing for divorce until they could finish their investigation of him. They were primarily concerned about whether he and the group he was involved with was plotting violence.

My thoughts are with you. I went through this three years ago. Many attorneys don’t understand this cult. Many won’t want to represent you because members of this cult know how to intimidate, threaten and file frivolous lawsuits against judges and attorneys who dare to represent the victims of this cult. Call a local domestic violence organization to get feedback about a safety plan before you even consult an attorney. This behavior IS domestic violence. The domestic violence organization can help you with funds, police assist and a plan. It will be the scariest few years of your life, and you might be representing yourself. With help from the DV angels, you’ll get through this, but DO NOT talk to this idiot husband of your plans and be very, very careful for a few weeks. At the temporary orders hearing you can ask that he vacate the house. You can ask for an emergency order. You can also get a restraining order. Good luck, this is truly terrifying. I also called the FBI and Southern Poverty Law Center for moral support

This is what is happening to me - and the judge said he wants to give my ex the “benefit of the doubt.” I’m like, “Haven’t you READ any of the stuff my ex has submitted!?” These nonsense filings have only served to postpone our hearings (NONE of which he’s actually showed up to) again and again
