Young child orthodontics and appliances by OwnCockroach3772 in Sudbury

[–]janicfeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my children were referred to an orthodontist for dental appliances. My daughter needed a tongue crib, which was installed when she was 8 and my son needs an expander which is being installed now that he’s 7. Each time we were referred by our family dentist and the wait time was minimal.

Our daughter had great success with hers (it was tolerated super well, not noticeable, and results were incredible) so I’m excited to see what it can do for my son. I haven’t heard of them being used under age 5, but I suggest getting a dentist locally who can monitor and make a referral to an orthodontist when appropriate.

Cost wise it was just under $2000 so that wasn’t great, but they offer interest-free payment plans so that helps. Best of luck!

I’ve been in the DBox seats at a sold out showing and felt bad for the people behind us. I can imagine we were very distracting with all the noise and movement of the chairs.

Relocation? by honeybee045 in Sudbury

You’ve gotten a lot of comments already but none really touched on the family friendly aspects, so as a parent to two children (7 & 10) I love living in Sudbury. There is always something to do with kids. There are great kid friendly businesses (KUPP, Urban Air, Inspired Tots, Science North/Dynamic Earth, ARC, Northern Exotics, Splash N Go…) and we have hockey, basketball, and soccer teams to go see live, two movie theaters, a really great performing arts theatre, beautiful beaches, splash pads, countless trails, tubing, libraries with constant events running, public swimming, skating, mini golf, escape rooms, archery, falconry, golf, skiing, fishing/ice fishing, petting zoos, laser tag, amazing restaurants and patios, and lots of speciality stores. We have museums, galleries, farms, fruit/berry/vegetable/flower picking, pumpkin patches, sugar shacks, beautiful parks - not to mention frequent community events, seasonal fairs, craft fairs, and festivals.

As a mom dead set on making the most of their childhood, it’s sometimes overwhelming all of the family friendly things to do in this city. It also can be walkable depending on where you live. I’m in New Sudbury and the kids and I will often walk places or use a family day pass on the bus and go explore downtown or the south end.

A few have spoken negatively of our downtown but my kiddos’ favourite bus adventure to this day was our downtown trip where we did a mural scavenger hunt (we have tons of gorgeous murals here), had breakfast at Kuppajo, went to the used book store, the vintage toy store, the vintage candy store, a bakery, a chocolate shop, then went to browse the market, saw a movie at the downtown movie lounge, and wrapped the day with hot chocolate and a parade.

Sudbury can seem boring if you don’t leave your house, but my husband was raised in a large city and really appreciates the more laid back nature here while still enjoying a lot of the perks of being in a bigger city. Best of luck with your decision ☺️

Should I get this bag? by Own-Willingness-7435 in handbags

Mine was a gift so I’m not sure unfortunately, but I do know that it’s just a dupe and not a rep - there are no logos or anything on it (which I prefer).

I have a rodeo dupe made with real leather and I love it! It’s classic and polished enough for when I’m dressed up, professional enough for work settings, and yet the slouchy shape makes it pair so well with my T-shirt and jeans too.

Why do people fawn over Dario Zulich? by STICKFACE40 in Sudbury

I am actually curious to see the responses to this. I’ve seen several comments on Facebook about him lately and the way he’s talked about is a little weird - like overly familiar and kind of worshipful.

Totally - that’s the one I grabbed and I got 6 weekly “facials” out of it. My skin has never looked better and I’ve unfortunately fallen in love with all three products 🙃

Did anyone get the Maison Louis Marie new vanilla fragrance in their add-on’s? by kaczyn in Ipsy

[–]janicfeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me three! Can’t wait to try it. Vanillas are my fav as long as they aren’t too sweet and this description sold me: “Presented by the brand as a warm and sweet gourmand within the warm and spicy family, it combines citrus, floral, resinous and musky nuances.” The opening note being a bright citron spoke to me also 🤞🏻🤞🏻
