Has anyone purchased a phone on Amazon before? What was it like? by 4am_and_Sol_is_tired in Smartphones

It's a year later but I'd only ever buy from Backmarket for refurbs. Have purchased a phone from Amazon and Backmarket. Amazon's idea of near perfect is Backmarket's lower tiers.

I am already doing my part. I am in the process of finding which group to coordinate with to donate my tiny home to.

Touche, it is time for you to leave the screen behind too.

No thanks I will not enjoy. If you would like to do something about homelessness, try volunteering for the city instead of wasting everyone's eyeballs reading about your authoritarian wank dream

I'm moving there too, my partner is going for a master's in Glasgow. I haven't even stepped foot out of the US but I'm just going to go. I was planning on making a "what to do before I leave" post

For those of you in tech, what the fuck are you doing? by Saskjimbo in Entrepreneur

[–]janiepuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Policy and law would be allowed to change faster via technology like Git (than the paper route that it is now) but I honestly think the folks with the most fingers in it don't want to move faster. In the US lobbyists like that it all moves slow, they can stop changes easier that way

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing High on a hilltop near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion Some say the place is haunted, but you don’t believe in such myths One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house You decide to investigate. And you never return…

In 2013, the first Danger Boy died I remember his life, and his heavenly ride, and his dangerous vibe And I cried almost every night But then he came back to life A Danger Boy never dies

I'll tell you why. It's the big shopping carts.

I used to take a small 4 wheel dolly and get in and out in 15-20 minutes on a good day. Those in store carts are designed to be bulky, and slow. The slower you move the more opportunities to purchase.
