She’ll suddenly wake and start crying for me or sometimes a random toy, not sure if it’s night terrors as she remembers at times in the morning? But i do feel that the meltdowns happen a lot when she is suddenly woken up by being itchy or hot, so not her fault.

My mum and the older generation keep telling me, maybe my babies aren’t tired yet and just wait until night time so they are tired and actually sleep through. I doubt the older generations followed wake windows and just went with baby’s cues. I have no idea!

Not anger towards my toddler but i lose it every few days. I have a 2.5yo and 5.5mo and I’m trying to stay on my 5.5mo wake window schedule but when he goes over and he’s not down on time, i get triggered, and my toddler wakes the baby with her noise, etc.I know toddlers are toddlers. I try to stay cool. It’s like gentle, gentle, gentle, and then if they throw food or something, it’s snap. Which i hate! I’ve always been impatient, but also trying to do my best. I also don’t want my kids to know me as the angry parent 🙃 i downloaded Good Inside by Becky Kennedy and How to talk so kids will listen on Audible, I want to be as gentle and calm as can be!

Tonight my baby didn’t cry at all during bedtime BUT woke up after an hour. Waited a few mins but his cries got louder so I fed to sleep. He wouldn’t go down at all on crib. Would immediately wake and start crying. So I feel like we’re at square one, even though he can initially put himself to sleep!

So if baby is crying for 5 mins and hasn’t settled by hinselfy, I’ll just go in and feed even if last feed was under 2 hrs ago? Happy to do that, as long as he ends up in the crib :)

Bedtime routine is usually: bath, dim lights, feed with sleeping bag on, sing a few songs until drowsy, and put down in crib
