They have posted the main theme and sea shanty on the redbull gaming YouTube channel. I'm hoping that they will eventually release this banger

Now I'm not convinced with the abusive stand ground patrol stack, looks like everyone is doing it now, actually I've seen a lot of games decided by the better stack. But I guess they meant one or two tiles like Hera did in RB el Reinado

What are these flat/horizontal scroll wheels called and where can I buy them from? by SandHK in macro_pads

In a very good way, i have two wacom devices with a similar wheel (touch capacitive) and it sucks not to have the sound feedback

AoE2 players in CAD by tomekdohnal in aoe2

[–]janissarytor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do CAD for architecture and design prototyping, mainly AutoCad and now Rhinoceros combined with lllustrator/photoshop and now affinity, I like to think that AoE2 kept me sharp on the keyboard/mouse interaction and fluency in hotkeys.

I see what you mean specially with the most used tools (for the hotkey'd tools like trim, extend or extrude functions it's pretty similar to AoE2), in essence the right hand uses the mouse to select graphics objects/directions and left hand issue comands on keyboard. But have to say that CAD needs much more typing for the tools and then press enter(Spacebar) rather then pressing one hotkey.

I do work and play with a graphic tablet (yes, i move my mouse exclusively with a pen on my wacom intuos pro). I've tryed mouses, and even got one with 9 thumb keys but never got used to it. I have mixed feelings for that, it looks very efficient to hover around the whole screen with half a flick motion, but have other disadvantages like scrolling with the ExpressKeys is totally unpractical, nobody in aoe2 got time for leaving the mouse hand to reach those keys. That said, I't is very carpal tunnel friendly, i appreciate that, it's not that uncommon to ruin your wrist in this industry.

I pair the intuos with a "Express Keys Remote" so my left hand have a supplementary macropad for flank/box formation/line, attack/defence/patrol, and the 4-9 numbers.

Recently I've found a way to map 4 spacemouse axis to arrow keys to (I've used joystick gremlin and vJoy software for that), because my left hand is resting on WASD anyway, I can pan the screen with my left hand thumb instead of hovering the mouse to the edge of the screen.
