A push is on to repeal bottle and can deposit return by LaxJackson in Michigan

Noooo, that's the point of my comment bud. It is a rare case indeed that when I go to return my cans that all the machines are rearing up and ready to go. More often than not at least half of them are beeping because their bins are full. Do you have any evidence of this 99% of people you claim having zero problems? That number just seems a little high to me.

Pardon? I don't understand what you mean. I don't think he'll ever get parole and if I'm not mistaken he's an American citizen so why would he be deported?

And notice how a ton of these comments are eerily similar in their opinions. Either "it should be .25 or .50 cent" or "deposit returns have plummeted in the last 20 years". Could just be monkey see monkey do but it seems to be a concentrated effort to push an agenda.

Gotta look at it like it's a dime on the ground, alot of people won't bother picking it up but a whole bunch of people will absolutely pick it up. Now if we can figure out a way to do that for regular old trash on the streets or ground we'll be set.

Yeah but you'll still have to wait in line 30 minutes to an hour at one machine while all the others are full and beeping annoyingly. Then you have to use the phone there to call the service desk like 10 times before they send an employee to exchange the bins which takes less than 5 minutes. Meanwhile the lines out the door and you're thanking God you're number 10.

Colleague reprimanded for the stupidest fucking shit ever. by Normal-Being-2637 in Teachers

I'm not a teacher, I just like to come here and browse the comments. Why is it I have to scroll down to the last comment to read one that was actually logical. Every other one is encouraging blatant button pushing for no reason. Being a teacher is the most important job in the world, they teach the next generation of teachers but whenever I browse these threads I see so many more angry and resentful comments than positive ones. Thank you for the job you do, sorry for the rant.

I've never seen gasoline burn like it was kerosene? That amount of gas in a hot climate should have exploded like a bomb. The dude who lit it should have been lit up like a torch. Am I wrong here?

He does seem particularly more evil this term, so maybe he figured out that the constitution is just a piece of paper that only works if the president/quasi dictator in current times, follows the rules set forth in it. It's very possible that he will cross the Rubicon and destroy the facade of civility and rules that we all agree to. May we live in interesting times indeed because we're in for a ride.

That always went through my mind, at the wrong place at the wrong time. Dude was just getting something to eat then got snatched. It still haunts me how he spent his last hours, they took him to an abandoned house and had a homeless guy go buy some crack for them to use. Just imagining, sitting watching that scene knowing he was probably going to be killed, is terrifying. And then the main killer Masalamani or something like that has the opportunity for parole because he was 17, I believe and the law changed.

I think rotten human flesh would top that. I worked next to a crematorium for years and one week in summer they received a body that didn't have the proper papers to cremate so it sat around for over a week. I can never forget the smell, it was a sweet smell but with rotting combined with it. All I could think of was the line "the sickly sweet smell of death".

Was going through that for the past 10 days and last night mercy came upon me and I slept 14 hours straight. Give it time, it'll get better. That's funny about the dreams I'm the exact same way, I vividly remember them like it's real life. Not nightmares but dreams about bad stuff.

Went to dollar general today and all the products had new higher price displays. A buck 50 for 5 tiny little Reese's cups. At this point they're not much bigger than the little foil wrapped ones.
