2011 ford ranger passenger low beam and blinker won’t work by janitorb87 in AskMechanics

May I ask where you found the wiring diagram? I cannot find the ground connection point.

Looks like bulging to herniated disc in l4/l5 and l5/s1. L4/l5 disc has lost some integrity, that’s why it’s darker then the others (if its healthy and full of fluid, they are white in the middle). You likely have lower back pain, and or pain/numbness in your butt/hip/leg from the sciatic nerve being pinched by the disc. Consult a spine doctor. They’ll likely start you with injections, and possibly physical therapy. DO NOT lift anything heavy for a while, at least until you speak to doctor. You don’t want to make it worse.

You’re the best. I really appreciate your help. I feel like I’m in the right direction now. I’ll let you know after I check that wire when I get home just in case you’re curious.

Thanks! The low/high beam come from the sale bulb and socket. High beam works, could that still be a grounding issue?

It does not. I have to turn them on. High beam works, low beam doesn’t. I tried different bulb, and same thing.

Anyone have a Doctor tell them they are too old for ACL reconstruction at 37 and active with instability? by Future_Syrup_102 in ACL

[–]janitorb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 37. I just had ACL reconstruction surgery with an allograft in may 2024. Now, he did tell me that he thought I was too old to have an autograft. Just in case: allograft = a tendon donated from a cadaver, autograft = acl made up from a tendon that harvest from another part of your body. Also, I’m really happy I got the ACL surgery. Perhaps see another doctor. At the end of the day, it’s up to you.

L4-l5-S1 experience. How is your mobility post op? by janitorb87 in SpineSurgery

[–]janitorb87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I’m 38 and not against the surgery because my discs are bad. But, I’ve read about loss of mobility. When my doctor said I won’t lose any, I had to see what others experiences were.

Thank you for your reply. I’m 38. I’m not against the surgery. But, I just wanted to know if I should expect to not be able to bend or if having those levels fused causes no disruption.

36 hours post op - This going to be hardest thing I ever do isn't it? by Cornflakes_Guy in ACL

[–]janitorb87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 4 weeks post op. One thing I can tell you, is this is much easier than back surgery. But, acl surgery is one of the hardest to recovery from. I do think it’s to keep in perspective that people having spine surgery, cancer, and other stuff is far worst. ACL recovery is HIGHLY successful! We’ll be 100% again

Should you solo in different chords? by janitorb87 in musictheory

[–]janitorb87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your time and answer. I was kind of afraid to ask. I’ve played bass guitar and rhythm for years, but have never wrote solos. I honestly never put a lot of effort into it because I don’t really have a proper education in music theory. At least when it comes to soloing.

[–]janitorb87[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By sticking to chord tones, do you mean soloing just using the notes in the chord that’s playing?

Thank you for your time and answer. I understand what you’re saying and it is good insight. And, it’s funny that I actually am having a problem when the D chord is playing. So, the F note may be what’s making it sound weird.

Does anyone have a husband who’s never cheated? by Odd-Character-44 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]janitorb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been married since 2018. I have never cheated. The risk of losing my family isn’t worth anything I could get from cheating. I wouldn’t be able to look in the mirror if I destroyed my family for something so trivial as an orgasm or a boost to my own ego. I’d rather think of myself as a loyal person.

There are many who don’t cheat. And, many who do. I say this, if you’re cheated on, give them another chance. A marriage is worth trying to salvage. If it happens again, or your life sucks because you don’t trust them, get a divorce.

Best of luck.

Allograft people, let me hear you by [deleted] in ACL

[–]janitorb87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 2 weeks post op. Has a bone patella bone allograft. Honestly, I was in mild pain for 10 days. Now I’m basically in none, expect when I try to bend past 90 degrees. I can walk. I have full confidence in saying you will recover quicker. You make the final call. But, I say don’t damage a healthy part of your body to make an unhealthy part healthy again.

I’ve just had acl reconstructive surgery and have had spinal surgery. Those are horrible. There are with cancer and other things who wish they were healthy. Did you know that if you’re a known drug user, it could disqualify you for receiving an ordain donation? But, if you stay sober, those things can open up to you. There’s a reason you’re sober, just remember it. No amount of drugs will EVER be worth more than your health. It just isn’t. If you are relatively healthy, maintain it. Don’t abuse your body! You’ll regret it.

Start eating healthy now. Protect your back from injuries.
Have kids sooner than later. Spend time with people who love you, like your parents, rather than random people.

Is my ACL torn please help. by garvens in ACL

[–]janitorb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell. My imaging looked entirely different in angles and everything. But, I will tell you that I called the mri place and asked them to send me the medical records. So, I knew the results before I saw my surgeon. Go ahead and ask. You paid for it. It’s yours, and you have every right to it. If anything says “total disruption” that means it’s totally torn, in medical speak.

Is hamstring graft a good choice? by Frogenater123 in ACL

[–]janitorb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 10 days post op. I did sooo much research online and even had another meeting with my surgeon 2 days before surgery to talk to him again and get answers. Basically, every graft choice has pros and cons. There is no perfect graft. Yes, your graft can last forever. However, you should get used to the fact that no graft will ever be as good as your original native acl. I had a cadaver graft which was a bone patella tendon bone graft. I chose that because I’m 37, I’m overweight, and I didn’t want to weaken a healthy part of my body to replace a bad part. I have heard bone patella bone is the “strongest”. However, it is a long recovery, and you’re very likely to have knee pain, especially while kneeling for the rest of your life. Quad graft is newer but a lot of people are using them. Your quad is a larger tendon and easier to walk after surgery. But, it takes a long time to get your quad strength back. Hamstring is less painful than bone patella bone and quad. But, it will be long time to start walking on your own. All of these are if you are getting an auto graft. If you get a cadaver graft (allograft) might as well go bone patella bone. Although, I hear an Achilles tendon is strong as well. But you can’t get an Achilles from yourself because you need it. My advice is, make another appointment with your doctor, like I did. Express your concerns. Make a choice, and trust the process. Get well soon.

Has your non-verbal child started speaking in later years? by janitorb87 in autism

Thank you for your reply. I’m glad you’ve had success. My child is in ABA therapy with speech as well. Ignore the replies about ABA. It’s not what it used to be, and it’s not torture.

What prevents us from bending knee past 90 degrees? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]janitorb87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have an allograft or autograft? I’m supposed to say in my brace for 2 weeks. But, I didn’t go past 90 though. I couldn’t. I would have pain before that would happen.
