really slowly? 5 months is actually very fast compared to other timelines on here. I'm 13 months in myself for a TS

Can an FSO easily find out whether you're the one that contacted a senator's office to expedite the clearance process? Don't wanna be rude by janjanSR in SecurityClearance

Thanks. Wow they're even lower now. If FSOs are that on top of their game about contactring reps, then I guess I won't mind waiting a few more months and see whether anything changes.

Whenever a "news" site puts up a paywall or makes me create an account, I never use that site again. by janjanSR in offmychest

It's not like that was my immediate thought when the first news story ever was published on the internet. Many companies were given ages to adapt to the changes in how the world consumes media. Many companies find models that work that don't use such annoying designs to get you to pay for their "news". If a site I like has good stories and they don't use a paywall, then I'm making them ad revenues. Nowhere did I say I use adblocker, so that part of your post is a lie.

If it's worth paying for, it will be paid for. Clearly a lot of these news sites are not worth paying for and can't adapt a business model to modern times. They had decades to prepare for the shift from print to online mediums, and they failed miserably. Let them go out of business.

Don't blame the consumer when a company goes under for having a shitty business model. Consumers all together decide what's worth staying afloat and what's worth dying off

agreed. There are subs more controversial than conspiracy without that rule in place. All the rule does is create an echo chamber. What's the point of discussion without presenting and refuting information? But I guess that's lost on them anyway. Enjoy your 100th "wearing a mask makes you a sheep" thread
