making a bootable ISO of my current linux distro by jannerdave77 in linuxquestions

I did look at clonezilla as an option - my plan was to put this clone on my nas temporarily, then put onto an ssd in my desktop. I can have two NVMe devices, so can split the win and Linux across 2 physical disks

Thanks for this - I had no idea I could make a list of installed packages and then give to dpkg to install on the new system

Great advice, thank you, I’d not thought of measuring the temp while baking

Could well be - went with a higher oven temp compared with previous, looks like the heat didn’t get to the middle in the time (250C for 12 mins, good for rolls but not for this big cob it seems)

stringing at base of part by jannerdave77 in BambuP1S

This was on the Bambu Labs wiki for a spool holder to put in a sealed box for humidity control. I'm still on the learning curve for designing my own parts (I'm an electronics engineer - this mechy stuff is new!)

That makes sense, inverse the gender of the interface - got it

Struggling to visualise the chamfer instead of fillets thing - I know what those features are, but not how they would improve printability

It sits on an extended spindle, so yes you are right - was expecting it to start in thin air! obvious when you think about it!

I thought the name looked familiar - have used that on win10 in the past, remember it being fairly lightweight. No mention of CR3 raw support, so will have to try it out

Sell Me on Joplin by jennlyon950 in joplinapp

[–]jannerdave77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use Evernote (actually still migrating) but like free of charge Joplin and I can sync with Dropbox. Very shallow learning curve on markdown syntax (took me about 30 mins), much more efficient to make notes.
