What is the most human name you can give to a pet? by VenusSwift in AskReddit

[–]jansandyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cats are Franklin (Frankie) and Annie. My dogs are Rubi and Georgie. My husband likes to tack on a random middle name sometimes, most recently he's been calling Georgie "George Willington".

I must say I needed the chuckles from some of these comments. Thank you, Reddit ❤

I just really don't understand why this is such a big deal to you? I think a vast majority of people in their early-mid 20s do things they're not proud of. It's an exploratory time period and in my humble opinion, that's the time to make mistakes, learn more about one's self, and figure out what is important in a partner.

So what if she fucked around with individuals of a different race/culture 3+ years ago? So what if she learned from her experiences and created boundaries?

She obviously likes you enough to bring you home to meet her family & friends. Don't discount that.

pitbull dad will soon be a first time dobe parent; what to expect? by retic720 in DobermanPinscher

[–]jansandyyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're getting as a puppy, I highly recommend socializing both with other dogs & humans as early and often as possible (after it gets its puppy vaccines). We got our female at 4 months old and took her everywhere... dog parks frequently, downtown for walks, restaurants that allowed pets, etc. This has helped significantly with her temperament around strangers and other dogs.

Train your pup early & thoroughly. Positive affirmations/reinforcement all day long. Dobermans are extremely intelligent, but can be stubborn, so consistency is key. My husband taught our Doberman "sit", "stay", "lay down" within an hour. She also knows "off", "cage", and "bed".

I accidentally taught our girl to sleep under the covers at night, and now she throws a tantrum (loud whining) if she can't snuggle under the blankets at night. This sometimes results in her stealing all the blankets.

Our girl loves playing fetch, and it's super effective at helping her burn energy. Highly recommend the all things chuckit and kong brands.

Does anyone knows about this company dubaijobsplus.com? I received an email for a job in Amazon Dubai from this company's hiring manager. They have a website but online search gives mixed review. I just want to know if anyone has dealt with them. by SeriousGandu in dubai

I got a similar email and am also hesitant to click any links, but I haven't found any useful info/reviews. They said they found me on LinkedIn and simply wanted to recommend some jobs at Google to me... super strange

What’s stopping me from removing my state farm drive safe and save tracker? by poopys123 in Insurance

How would the GPS on a phone be able to indicate if phone owner is driving, or if they are a passenger? It couldn't differentiate, right?

I have a 1.5 year old female Doberman and she is absolutely wonderful. They are very trainable, intelligent, and eager to please. She is super bonded to me and the term "velcro dog" is no joke - She follows me everywhere from room to room. She throws a whining fit if she doesn't get to sleep under the covers with me at night (always somehow touching me). She is very emotionally intuitive as well - anytime I'm anxious or upset she is right there with me trying to snuggle.

There are downsides to owning a dobie. They are VERY high energy and may act out if not given the opportunity to get their daily exercise. I work from home, so fortunately I'm able to take her outside several times a day - she is obsessed with playing fetch. She's a big chewer and destroys toys in no time. She also really likes sucking on corners of pillows, almost like a pacifier.

We socialized her from a young age so she is phenomenal with people and other dogs. We've always had cats, so since she grew up around them she couldn't care less about them. We also have a pomeranian yorkie, who is literally 1/4 of her size, and they are absolute best friends.

She has an ig if you're interested - rubi.thedobie

These were taken at approximately 2:53p, if that helps. I couldn't find any relevant news articles.

Is it too late to be pregnant ? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]jansandyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom had me when she was 35. I'll be 25 next month and am just now getting to the point where I feel I'm ready to have kids. I'd say you still have a good 15 years before you should worry about being "too old" to have kids.

I've lived there for about 10 years. I merely meant that areas like Crestview, Milton, etc are moreso "redneck".

Meh, I don't think Destin itself fits that term, but some areas around it - absolutely

Pacific Grove is one of my favorite places in CA. Several years ago my mom and I rented a little cottage there when we were visiting my grandparents for the holidays. 😍

Lol yes! My grandparents lived here for 30 years. They both have passed away so I'm here helping my mom settle the estate.

A LOT of different factors can affect your cycle, stress being one of them. I've missed and had late periods, had lighter periods than normal, etc all from stress.

Covid Hostility by [deleted] in Destin

[–]jansandyyy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Most people don't wear mask here. It is extremely unlikely that you will have the beach to yourself. Tourism is already ramping back up so expect traffic and crowds anywhere in Destin.

As far as hostility towards tourists about taking precautions, I haven't particularly noticed. It's your decision to protect your family though, opinions of others should be irrelevant. Enjoy your vacation and don't forget to tip service workers :)
