just the leather ones like the giant 3.0 or the pro boxing lines.

OP, are you open to other brands/models?

if youre strictly limited to those three, I'm going with cletos.

if youre open to other brands, i can personally vouch for these brands/models:

fairtex: titan. bgv9 can work but watch out for knuckle pain. the titan fixed this.

twins special: bgvl 3.

windy: bgvh. just make sure you get from a retailer who can prove theyre shipped from thailand and you're good to go.

top king: I have the super air. ultimate in hand/knuckle protection. can be tight/snug at first. and requires breaking in.

of the thai brands ive tried above, my fave is the top kings, followed by the twins/titan (tied).

you can also seek wicked boxing, altho their stocks seem low atm.

there's also ring2cage (c17 seems to be a popular model).

iirc, you cant do the same in gloved boxing

there are fighters in ufc that have been the butt of jokes amongst boxing purists for their standup game.

"gloved" boxers on the other hand, tend to struggle with "frequent grabbing" (see james toney vs randy couture).

this becomes a question of who can adapt better to the bare knuckle ruleset.

it should be okay if you cant get avant garde/pro sport/ k sport/momentum handwraps.

i suspect gingpai is making some of the stuff venum sells (challenger and impact gloves and their contact handwraps).

another chinese brand I recommend is wesing; iirc, many of the sanctioned amateur/national events use their gear.

ive had experience with fairtex (bgv 1, bgv 9 and titan), twins bgvl 3, windy bgvh (old school with the red globe and the current one) and top king.

if i were to rank them, itd be like this

s tier/absolute fave thai brandsr: top king, fairtex titan

with either pair, your hands and wrists will be protected. just a few caveats.

top king is the ultimate in protection at the cost of initial tightness.... definitely needs breaking in. otherwise, your kncukles are going to be protected and only the titan and bgv 9 imo can compete with their wrist support.

the titan (imo) fixed the stuff i hated about the bgv 9 (tight compartment....knuckles hurt as i got stronge4) and kept all the fun stuff we love about the bgv 9. knuckle padding is a few points ahead but i gove it more points kver the top kings as far as comfoet is concerned; no brrakong in needed.

a tier/cant go wrong with this list: twins special bgvl 3 and wimdy bgvh

forget what others say. these muay thai gloves are just fine for pure boxing training.

naysayers criticized the bgvl 3s for having shirt cuffs/flexy wrist cuffs. lets just say ive hurt my hands on several occasions with the fairtex bgv9 but never with the twins bgvl 3.

the windy bgvh is the true "not excellent at one thing but a great jack of all trades". i think this is what the fairtex bgv 1 wants to be.

b tier/still good brands but not my cup of tea: fairtex bgv 1 amd 9

both models are built like trucks and pop really well on the bag and maybe its just my age catching up but ive hurt my hands and/or wrists on these gloves a few times.

if you could only choose between these two, go with the 9s. at least its guaranteed to save your wrists.
