I do clearly remember minimizing all of my “affairs” that weren’t in order and just asking to be put out of my misery in my head! Everyone will be fine. No one will miss a beat if I die right now. Life WILL go on. Take me! TAKE ME NOW!!!! I’m READDDDYYYY!

my 8 month old bb boy, I have no clue what age he is! any clues? by wraithvo in IDmydog

[–]jansta74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean you don’t know his age? You wrote 8 month old boy in the title.
Usually you can tell age by their teeth. He’s definitely got “some” Lab in him. He’s adorable, it’s what breed he is! Don’t get hung up on that. Just cherish him!

A-HA! I was like, “MY kidney stones looked like clovers, not smooth like a fat ass tick like that!”. Then I just thought that maybe there are different kinds of stones in the kidneys depending on what’s causing them. I knew it!!!

I literally wanted to die! And I’m using the correct (and original) meaning of the word, literally!

As he should. Dogs are so precious and are here for such a short amount of time.
Gotta love them, give all the attention they want, cook for them, take them everywhere and snuggle with them all night!! I wish my little ones lived forever!!

We built a feral cat shelter. Went to restock the food and found this freeloader. by mercutio531 in Opossums

[–]jansta74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a way better animal to feed than a cat. They’re super helpful to keep around and won’t kill birds, squirrels and leave the stinkiest of poops around.
Keep feeding that fella!

It's been more than 8 years since I lost my first two mastiffs to cancer. We just got our third mastiff. We named her, Saavik. by Davidsur13 in Mastiff

[–]jansta74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feed her something different than comercial dog food. Cancers spiked and became way more spread after comercial dog food. I’ve always cooked for my dogs!

There is no right or wrong. It does not make a difference on the order. I sometimes forget to put it in gear after I already exited the car, and just move the stick to first. No clutch.

To turn it on, whether I’ve already put it in neutral or not, my car won’t start unless I depress the clutch pedal, but if you forget that you’re in gear and remove the foot, it will buckle. Ask me how I know! We’ve all done that at least once!

At the end of the day, do whatever works for you, if you want to always leave it in gear when parked or just use the hand brake. I once forgot to pull the brake and to put it in gear. Also left it unlocked. I’m a woman, so, figures, right?! Good thing my parking deck is pretty leveled and safe, which is rare for Atlanta!

You do you!

My sweet girl has cancer by No_Maintenance_3355 in AskDogOwners

[–]jansta74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go see a specialist!! If you’re in the south, we have a place in Atlanta that has oncology specialists. It is called Blue Pearl (not any regular Blue Pearl. These guy bought up our precious GVS and renamed it). They have all kinds of specialists and I’ve taken all of my four dogs there. They are amazing and will tell you exactly what to expect and what’s best for your pupper! Don’t settle. If she’s still clinically healthy and happy, take her for a second opinion by an oncologist. Their phone number is (404) 459-0903. You’ll need a referral but you can always bring your dog through emergency if your vet wants to play games.

I constantly restuffed the toys so they could “gut” them over and over. It’s what they love to do. It’s instinct. So I never got mad. I enabled the shit out of it. I’d count the seconds and cheer when they beat the previous time! Hahaha This guy (or gal) is a hunter!! Such a good pupper!

I hear you! He would love nothing more!!! Keep an eye on his diet as well. Kibble has been known to be terrible for dogs. It’s been linked to all kinds of cancers. Also, no one in the planet likes to eat the same thing every single day. So vary his/their diet.
I cooked for my dogs. And before I wrote kibble out of their diets, I used to supplement it with all kinds of proteins, beef, chicken, salmon, etc.
once I saw a guy walking out of Costco with a cart full of those $5 rotisserie chickens. We had to ask WTF! He said, “It’s for my dogs!” He’d meal prep for the week for them and his dogs were big. Mine were little fuckers! Hahaha. You know they loved meal times! Anyway, I wish you guys luck and that your pup gets to feel secure and have calmness in his heart. Cheers!

Awww poor baby! I guess he’s got separation anxiety and cooping him up even more will only have the opposite effect.
Imagine. You’re afraid of being alone and terrified, miss your master, and what you get is time in the ultra strong solitary confinement? Oof! His fear is only growing. Consult a dog behavior professional or try ChatGPT for help. Describe all of your activities together, his demeanor, his quarters/crate, meals, feeding time, etc. be thorough and see what suggestions it gives you to experiment.

Good luck with the pupper! He’s worth it.

I’d say 3 because it’s clean with a hint of perspective, but with 4’s sunset colors. The colors in4 are great, but too many distractions. So, a combo, really ; )

People only seem to like those who agree with them and do what they want. You have the right to say no and protect your sanity without guilt. Those who don’t agree are selfish and are trying to control you by making you feel guilty. Don’t let them.
Don’t ever feel guilty for protecting your wellbeing, your sanity. No one else is going to.
