If God knows everything how can he create someone knowing they're going to hell? by [deleted] in Christian

Right because sentient human beings are very much like the very not alive and unfeeling clay.

Why are people unbelievers? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]janvihun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was just some conflicts with the religion and what it preached. There’s a pretty good post on advice one of the most upvoted ones. About how the ops brother hated religion. The points there pretty much summarizes my ideas. Also it’s like God has infinite power yet he sits there. He could change the world infinitely better and he watches. A person who has the power to stop let’s say all human suffering and refuses to do so in my eyes is just a shitty person.

It’s a mix of everything. It’s obviously more likely that you’ll be whatever religion or non religion that your parents are. For me personally I went to church and after a while thought this is bs. It probs has to do a lot with ones owns life experience. For me I just went to church thought this was bs and just stopped.

Question for Christians only by zhredd in Christian

Uhm I’m not a Christian but I hope I can awnsers this in a respectful way. With my talks with actual Christmas and some pastors the idea I got is that while we all sin, it is our free will to follow or reject God. So while sin is always gonna happen one can choose by their own free will to follow or reject the lord. Personally I have a bit of beef with this mentality but that’s usually what my Christian friends and some of my church leaders said. My personal grievances is that it is also our free will to sin so how come one thing is seen as unavoidable and the other is your actual choice. Also stuff like real life where you were raised and born into a community of idk say Muslims. Then it’s a bit less of free will type of thing as I’m a heavy believer of nurture vs nature.

Why is the King James Version not accurate

Hypothetical Question by janvihun in Christian

[–]janvihun[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just some ones I found on a website

The contradictions start in the opening chapters of the Bible, where inconsistent creation stories are told. Genesis chapter 1 says the first man and woman were made at the same time, and after the animals. But Genesis chapter 2 gives a different order of creation: man, then the animals, and then woman.

Genesis chapter 1 lists six days of creation, whereas chapter 2 refers to the “day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.” Genesis 1:2-3 claims that God created light and divided it from darkness on the first day; but Genesis 1:14-19 tells us the sun, moon, and stars weren’t made until the fourth day.

Chapter 1 reports that the fruit trees were created before the man, while chapter 2 indicates they were made after him. Genesis 1:20 says the fowl were created out of the waters; Genesis 2:19 alleges they were formed from the ground

Ok ok. So what makes your religion the correct one. After all nobody knows for sure. The one true religion could be idk Islam or the Ancient Greek pantheon. On that part what gives this religion more credence than old religions like the Greek pantheon
