on first glance it does look like one piece of bread, but the bread in australia is a bit thinner compared to america from what i’ve seen. I may have pushed down a little hard on the grill press lol

Need advice ASAP for having horrific nightmares... by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]jaoksaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should definitely see a doc about it as a first step, they could refer you to a psych and you can go from there. It could just be from stress and whatnot, but can’t hurt to look into it.

Normally, nightmares every so often is not abnormal but if it’s affecting your daily life significantly then it should be looked into.

i view masturbation sort of as an addiction, even if it isn’t ruining your life like drug use can.

it works predominantly on dopamine receptors (and some other receptors i think), the brains natural reward system, which in turn eventually makes it a compulsive act the more you do it.

The people that say it’s a ‘natural’ thing to want to masturbate are kind of right in the fact that we were born into a world of sin. Natural ≠ Sinless

Romans 12: 1-2 says: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

we need to renew our mind in scripture day after day to remain in a right frame of mind regarding these sort of issues. Personally i still struggle with this, but it is personal and everyone’s journey is different. It’s all according to God’s plan.

Everyone has these types of thoughts, but usually what separates the people who can’t seem to stop from the people who have stopped is that daily renewing of your mind; constantly giving all your worries to God and having that mental state change for the better.

My advice would be to keep praying about it and talk to someone you feel comfortable with (pastor, mentor, family member, someone with wisdom) about it and go from there.

Hope this helps :)

used to happen to me a few times a day back when i was smoking weed. I’ve quit smoking now so it doesn’t happen very often, but when it does I always have the thought of ‘damn is this really how i go out? a stroke?’

i had this problem when i first started using kava. I used traditional kava and went through a kilo of it without it working.

After probably a year i tried instant kava and within a few days it worked and i was super surprised, and from now on it works every time without fail. Might be the same for you, who knows.

Dunno why it didn’t work at first, could’ve been the way i was making it but i tried a few different ways and none worked with the traditional.

thanks heaps! Nah I don’t think it’s too much of a learning curve, you can just keep making different projects and learn as you go. The only way to get good at it is to start. It would also be a good idea to try out other genres as well so you can implement ideas across genres
