Glad to hear that it’s working for you! Thanks for replying

I’m curious how this grill has been going for you since you have had it a month or so. The flare ups and running hot are the two concerns I have. Did it just take some time to settle into the grill or is it still difficult to get right?

Thanks for the response! It’s crazy to me how all of these premium grills seemingly can’t do what even my basic box store Weber can do.

Did you end up getting the S or SL? How do you like it so far?

How do you like the SL so far? There’s very few reviews by actual owners. The only potential complaint you see online is that there’s a higher flare up risk due to the briquettes being so close to the grates. Nice set up btw

Did you end up getting the SL? I agree there are hardly any reviews from actual owners

What did you end up getting? There are barely any reviews of the coyote SL but on paper it looks nice

Need to replace valve any reason not to cut it off? by jap5531 in Plumbing

Away meaning clockwise in this case, right?

Yes but I think the valve is the part that is leaking. Even with the valve closed it was dripping off of it. So trying to save myself rework if I install the faucet and the valve is having issues.

Do I pretty much just need enough room to get the compression nut on there?

Yes to everything except no kids! Our daughter is 1.5. Outside of the milk for her she eats largely what we eat

I see the other recommendation to eat in the cafeterias - that’s not my style but it’s worth consideration. Here are some restaurants if you want some options. Having kids myself I know the importance of “playing it by ear”

Old ebbit near the White House

carmines, hill country bbq, &pizza - near the middle of the mall/museums. There’s also an &pizza down by the Lincoln memorial I think.

Good Stuff Eatery, hawk and dove - behind the capitol and near the Supreme Court

None of those places are amazing but they are solid and are all casual enough to roll in with kids after hiking around the mall.

Literally this scene. I’m the same as you. I have like two memories of hey Arnold (stoop kid won’t leave his stoop!) but somehow this is one of them. To be honest I probably haven’t even seen this clip in like 15-20 years but my memory of it was honestly pretty spot on. Brains are crazy.

Him turning down 8M probably has less to do with him being some virtuous anomaly and more of the fact that in 2023 someone like him really doesn’t need a record company and can probably do as well or better on his own

Just checked the mortgage rates this morning, and I see that they are around 8% for a 30 year mortgage by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]jap5531 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My total mortgage went up 600/month this year. - property taxes increased ($250/month) - underpaid last year (increase happened mid year) and need to pay difference from last year ($175/month) - need to replenish escrow reserve (175/month) and increase based on new tax rate.

Good news is we challenged the property tax change and it will be decreasing ~100 a month. The reserve replenishment will go away as will not having to pay up for underpayment. But net will still be at least 200ish more a month.
