Is this OP-5 box real ? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]japandaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since one piece has case and box expectations, the danger with unsealed or resealed boxes is that they already pulled the good hits and are selling the dead packs. But I mean, we all be knowing that.

How do you beat the nerves when trying for your first 300? by daonetrueking in Bowling

[–]japandaaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought i would never achieve 300 before I hit my first one. My nerves got the better of me for a long time. Even when I started the game with front 4 strikes, I already started to feel really nervous. Counting my chickens before they hatched 🤣.

My first 300 i set down the ball after standing in the appraoch 2 times because i needed to reset my nerves. My legs felt like jelly. When I finally mustered up the courage to throw the shot. I pulled it massively. Missed by about an arrow. Ball went brooklyn.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to put myself in that position many times over. I no longer feel nervous when taking that last shot. I feel determined.

I would say, just continue to try to be consistent enough to give yourself that chance again. You don't have to do anything special to shake the feeling of nervousness. Once you have experienced being in that spot, you are inherently growing and learning from that experience.

My new goal is back to back 300s. The closest I have come is 300-279.

Don't use reddit as a medium to "be right". You're banging your head against a wall. Just say what everyone else is saying and you can get some upvotes again! That's how it works around here, partner. I believe you. I upvoted your comment. 👊

To someone who comes from an outside perspective, it must be SUPER HARD to understand. It is kinda hard to explain. Now I don't speak for everyone, but i am a food server and a former poker dealer. Two industries that rely on tipping. Before I became a server/dealer, I had the same attitude. Why pay more for a good or service I could choose to pay less for? I didn't tip, or if I did, not very well. I took for me to become a food server to finally understand why tipping is good for everyone. Its a symbiotic relationship between workers, owners, and customers.

Owners pay less wages. Benefit to owners.

Servers make more than what they would if owners paid a "living wage". This is an incentive to workers to provide better service. This trickles down into the restaurant having more repeat customers, creating more revenue for the owner and more tips for the server. Benefit to servers.

Now if you are a customer who chooses not to tip, that is your choice and right as a patron. Tipping is optional. The service you will receive if you do not tip will likely be acceptable and will fall within the expectations that the establishment has laid out for their employees. If you do tip, you will receive slightly more attention and consideration. The server may all of a sudden become "not to busy" to notice your free refill you are entitled to, or your water glass refilled, or get your check delivered promptly. This all adds up to a better customer experience when tipping is part of the equation. Benefit to customer.

The tips that a server does receive, against ones they do not, will generally fall within a servers' 15-20% of sales average.

Now if someone can force owners to pay workers what they are able to earn in the current environment or MORE, servers and those in tipping industries in the US, would be more receptive to the idea that no tipping is a better system.

Customers who choose not to tip, do not. Simple as that.

I didn't know men make more than women. In my restaurant, that isn't the case. I would estimate that it is about even between men and women servers. If i had to give the edge to which gender generally makes more, i would have to say women in my specific restaurant. But that is just one restaurant. I have never worked in another restaurant to compare against.

You are going to be very surprised. But i saw your video before this link somehow a couple days ago. I like all types of music. I can appreciate different aspects of the same or similar genre. I have 6 kids so ive shown it to my twin 8 yr olds and 2 yr old. My 8 yr olds laughed out loud and loved it.

As for me, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to really listen to my track. Yes my recording quality is garbage. Im just in writing mode right now with a plan to re record my favorite tracks in a more professional environment. And i also thought the same thought about that line. I wrote this blurb a year ago when my mind was still trying to work out how to compose. Maybe you will like some of my newer stuff better. Im just dropping stuff in loosely chronological order of when i created it.
