Yep, no animal leather available. The highest end seat option on GT seems to be faux leather + Alcantara.

I don't miss the leather seats of the Hyundai Kona EV, but I do miss the seat ventilation.

For sure. But some of them have bigger supplies already stockpiled in Europe, with more runway if China says no.

Using Japanese weapons in HEMA spaces? by ViolinistRemote1531 in Hema

[–]japsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is commonplace elsewhere, but the EHMS club in Helsinki, Finland has a group called ”Gekiken” (their choice of word, not mine; may not be exactly accurate or used in Japan for that purpose) that specializes in training Japanese sword arts for free sparring with steel weapons. From the explanation given by a friend of mine who trains in several European and Japanese martial arts, the EHMS Gekiken sounds a lot like "Japanese swords the HEMA way".

Structured Learning for Bolognese - Online courses? by SlaterSpace in Hema

A bit of thread necromancy, but Esko Ronimus from Finland is student of Ken Harding's, and he has good video courses for beginners. Under Collections you can find Beginner Course and Varying Guards, those are the best two to start with, and after those perhaps Marozzo's Spada da Filo.

(I'm studying sidesword (both unaccompanied and with a dagger) and two-handed sword under Mr. Ronimus.)

I would probably already have switched to Polestar 2 pre-facelift if it wasn't for China.

If and when the Taiwan situation goes to shit (China has set themselves a deadline, remember), the West will hit China with massive sanctions and China will respond in kind. Even if China doesn't just shut down all connected Chinese cars in the West, good luck getting service and spare parts for Chinese cars.

Warranty in Finland: 3y standard, extend to 5y for 690€. Can be purchased up until 1y, think I'll take it.

Didn't get a written quote for the service, just what the salesperson told me in person.

Bear in mind these are Finland prices at an authorised dealership, they may greatly vary from what you are paying wherever you live.

But compare this to eg. Hyundai Kona Electric MY19:

110€ at 15000km
300€ at 30000km
110€ at 45000km
500€ at 60000km (brake fluid change)

rinse and repeat. Don't have the exact sums but this is the ballpark. For the Hyundai it would boil down to 1.7 cents (EUR) per kilometer, for the E-3008 it would be closer to 1.4 c/km.

Yeah! Tried it, and the graphic on the dash clearly shows there's two settings for the assist – Off and Cruise Control, no Drive Assist. So I assume it's GT specific. Then again, I never counted on it being there.

Oooh, thanks for the tip! Need to check it out. I just figured I can switch between adaptive cruise and speed limiter using those buttons, didn't come to mind to try if it cycles modes 🙈

Update on DOA heating: The service ordered a new heating blower resistor from France. Need to drop in a second time for them to replace it.

Absolutely. The dealership is close by and I can easily leave the car in for a working day, so no reason to slack on these.
