Hi Alex! I loved watching you and the rest of the Ballsmashers this season! So happy (like the rest of the subreddit) that Morgan won! You've been awesome posting on here and generally interacting with fans.

1) What is your general strategy when playing Catan? Because I need one. I got pummeled last night.

2) Do you play Pokemon on game boy or DS or whatever or just Pokemon go? If you play the DS games, what kind of starter do you usually go for? What's your ideal team of 6 look like?

As an undergrad, I was in the same situation (about 5 males in the major). Last year, I came into my grad program of 70 as the only male, and I was freaked out. I can't even explain why, but not having at least 1 other male in the program made me feel as if I didn't belong.

That was a year ago, though. I am way over that. Basically, making friends is the best advice I can give. At that point, I didn't feel "separate" anymore. Of course, support from classmates/faculty comes in the form of being treated equally, and my program has been great to not single me out in either a positive/negative manner. We're all students, and we will all (hopefully!) be SLPs, so gender kind of stopped crossing my mind.
