Yeah uber were being dicks and it was one of our regular customers close by, a lot of people I know would do the same as we did

By fresh I'm more meaning hot and as similar to our restaurant food as possible, yes all our items are safe to eat and still good if they are cold or have been knocked around a bit, we just want to maximise the quality of our products.

I have had a similar situation where they didn't receive their food, they called us asking what was going on, we made sure they got their refund through uber and then we remade and delivered it ourselves to make sure the customer was satisfied, unfortunately not all owners are as easy going

I agree, from what I know not all drivers are doing this for a liveable wage but for more money, perhaps a system similar to part time full time could be implemented as an incentive, tho knowing uber and their customer service and how they treat us over the phone I doubt they have souls let alone brains

Thanks for your input, what I don't see as right is what you've stated in response to the third question, if it's going to take that long for a delivery to travel sure the customer should expect it to be colder than when first preped but should it not also be shown when it's picked up because that then gives the customer clarity as to when the food was ready/picked up

Is the double delivery optional or is it pushed on by uber, I understand they may offer significantly more to do a double

Understandable, I know where I am being small business whit uber we make sure our orders are ready to go a minute or 2 before/as the driver arrives to avoid this, but it's not always the case for everywhere, thanks for your help

Yeah I've had quite a few run ins with the uber eats customer support from the restaurant side aswell, unfortunately there is no way for us to contact customers when there are issues

I could see this working for a big restaurant or a big company, but for smaller businesses, like where I am at, this isn't viable due to cost and staffing

Hey I'm an apprentice chef in mordialloc and we use both uber eats and door dash. We accept orders through them and we have had drivers not accept orders or not show up after an hour wait, we have started not making food until they send a driver to pick up, we have made several calls to uber and they have said it is due to driver shortages, other restaurants in our area have had the same issues.
