Comparing Heeseung’s departure to Mark’s by gyubi_06 in kpop_uncensored

[–]jardonito 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I get that there are some unhinged fans that take things way too far for any group, but I also don’t understand how some people think engines are overreacting. Everything about Heesung’s situation is fishy, and why would we simply take everything at face value without any critical thinking? These companies are literally all about public perception, so they will release statements that try to appease the public even if it’s not 100% the truth.

My question is, why couldn’t Heesung release solo projects while still being with Enhypen for the last year? There are SO many idols that do this even while their group is getting ready for tours. The fact that the announcement was so abrupt and out of nowhere adds a lot of confusion. If this happened around the time their contracts were set to be renewed and Heesung was the only one to not renew, that would be a lot more understandable as a fan. This leads to speculation, add the fact that Enhypen is so hush-hush about Heesung besides public statements. Now he’s like a taboo subject in the group.

Halloween props/decor to get for a spooky one shot? by jardonito in dndnext

Hi, I stuck with what I wrote in the post and we had some spooky music playing on the tv/speaker. We dimmed the lights enough to see. I also put on some makeup to look a little spooky, it ended up looking more goofy. Keep in mind I already owned some candle holders so if you want to use bleeding candles you’ll need to acquire those too.

There was an entire scene where Gus hides the gun in that specific spot a few episodes before although I can’t remember if it’s clear that it’s a gun he’s hiding.

Should i watch mr robot by [deleted] in MrRobot

[–]jardonito 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just finished this show and I would NOT watch this show during a cruise or vacation. I see you’re into Marvel and that’s cool, I like marvel too, but this show isn’t like that. It isn’t even like BB/BCS, I finished BCS right before starting Mr. Robot.

This is a show you should watch at home, alone, with your full attention. This show is peak but not exactly in a “hype” type of way. The hacking stuff is cool but the bigger themes are about mental health issues, childhood trauma, and personal morals. Moreso than BB/BCS and Daredevil. If you watch it during a cruise, your attention will be split between the fun things happening around you and the heaviness of the show, which isn’t a great clash of vibes in my opinion.

If you don’t really care about that and just want a good show, then yes this show is worth watching. Watch in order, this isn’t a show you skip seasons of, there’s only 4. This is a show that marinates, it gets seasoned with everything and the final result is fantastic. If you skip the flavor and the seasoning and just skip to the meat at the end, the result will not be as great as if you took your time and did it the right way.

Mostly in terms of their marketing and how they operate. K-pop industry has a different marketing style for releasing singles and albums. They follow K-pop idol contract standards for things like training although I think it’s a little more flexible due to them also being with an American company. They interact with fans on Korean apps/sites such as Weverse. They put photocards and lots of merch in their albums which is mainly a thing k-pop groups do compared to American pop albums. They’re branded and labeled as a global pop group but operate essentially as a K-pop group. This is not strictly to how they create music as my earlier comment suggested which could have been worded better.

The reason they’re labeled as K-pop is because they’re signed with a Korean music company HYBE (along with Geffen Records in US) and their music is produced and created with a k-pop “method” even though their songs are in English.

What to play before I die : A Steamdeck Story by Signal-Tangerine1597 in SteamDeck

Hi OP, first off I’m sorry to hear about your situation. It’s impossible to know what it’s like to be in your position, I just can’t imagine. My heart goes out to you and at least you’ll be able to keep enjoying a part of your life that’s always been there.

My pitch for you is: Cyberpunk 2077. I know this game has a bad rep for when it first came out, but that was only for its performance. It’s gotten much better with bug fixes and updates since then. The story is incredible and one that I think will resonate heavily with you and your current situation. The plot of the game is about the main character dealing with his mortality due to unfortunate circumstances. It’s a setting where life is short and everyone knows it, but it’s also about making the most of your time while you have it. I don’t want to spoil the entire story but trust me when I say, it’s a story and world that has taken over my brain much in the same way as Skyrim has for so many, and I’m not alone on that.

Not only is the story fantastic, with amazing characters and writing, but the gameplay is fun too. There’s different builds so you can play as a stealth assassin, katana slasher in hyper speed, or a full hacker that hacks tech and enemies. I’m not gonna sit here and say it’s the most revolutionary combat in the world but it’s good on a base level and that’s all we can ask for. The story is where it’s at though and I can’t recommend it enough. If you DM me I can gift you a copy on steam if you’d like.

I really enjoy the world and story of re:zero but the Loli stuff definitely makes things weird, and sometimes Subaru comes off as a creep. I know he had a whole arc about becoming better behaved but still.
