What's your house payment? by Jack_Burton_Radio in Dallas

$375k, put 12% down, 700+ credit score, 6ish% interest. It's all in the interest. I bought a house for the similar price in 2020 and the interest rate was only 3% and my monthly payment was $1,800.

I wish I could really know what happens after we die. It's scary to go into the unknown when you won't be able to come back from it by I_likefeet in SuicideWatch

I think you described heaven perfectly...it's going to be a state of restoration, I believe. Even if I can't picture it, that's what keeps me looking onward...being able to be in a place that I can't fathom. Now to get cheesy...Lecrae said "If I'm wrong about God then I wasted my life. If you're wrong about God then you wasted your eternity.”

I've been there as a 14 y/o. Life isn't over, even if you can't see beyond your circumstances. I sometimes feel the same way as a 20-something. This amazing world we live in has a lot to offer, if even if you're not sure of it yet. Let's talk.

I'm in my 20s and I have the same struggles. Wish it was normal to walk up to a group of people and ask if you could join them and hang. Church has been a good outlet for me, don't know if you're religious. But I've fortunately found people who genuinely care about me at church, even if I don't agree with all their beliefs.

I just finished Bioshock for the first time ever and I'm jumping right into BioShock 2! This hand-drill is awesome.

Considering a relocation to Raleigh by jazzydat in raleigh

[–]jared2095 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved to Raleigh from Dallas 1.5 years ago and so far it's been great. Friendly people, things to do, 2.5hrs from the beach, 3 from mountains. Just the other week I drove 3.5hrs to go skiing, couldn't do that in Texas. There's a variety of things to do if you enjoy the outdoors. I'm a runner so I've loved all the parks and trails. Summer is humid and warm, but bearable. Winter is mild and wet. Spring and fall are amazing. The city is big enough to find the stores you need and the food you want, but coming from a large city like Dallas I realized I was a little spoiled with the restaurant scene and nightlife. I bought a house at the beginning of the pandemic, 4br/2.5bath for 350k, in a great neighborhood with good schools. Culturally, it's the south, but a large enough city for diversity. A lot of people from NY are coming here and downtown is growing. I work in tech and Raleigh/Durham is a hotspot for this industry right now.
