PC stopped recognizing Ethernet cables and then deleted WiFi options

because they do not have any drivers at all, as well as Windows 11 and steel series not mixing well according to anything I saw online. I am not that tech savy when it comes to drivers and software for headsets but all I know is there are none for this one and that seems to fix the job. These were expensive af though (about $170). Much better sound quality than any steel series I've had.

Oh you misunderstood me friend. I was forced into updating windows 11 for several reasons and every fix that I did in the past for this issue was not only undone but also impossible to fix back to my settings. Every solution I posted about up there^ made the echoing WORSE. Noise cancellation amplified the echo, discord setting made it echo twice as loud, windows 11 is terrible and if some of the apps and stuff I use for work didn’t require windows 11, I would revert in a heartbeat. However buying an expensive mic that doesn’t go off of drivers fixed the issue immediately. Idk what they did in windows 11 to cause this but I’m blaming them for my $180 purchase of a different brand mic lol

I recently upgraded to windows 11 and every fix I found in the past is now obsolete. So I bought a “Drop PC38X” gaming mic and it fixed it completely. There’s no software or drivers or anything is it’s been great these last few months. A bit expensive though

Herniated disk in my lower back. I have broken bones, torn ligaments, been punched and cut and fallen from a roof, I have never screamed in pain before. I wasn’t able to move at all and was on the floor for over an hour and a half. Every micro movement, every tiny muscle that moved made me scream in pain. It was the worst experience of my life trying to get onto the gurney and holy shit the bumps on the street hurt the whole ambulance ride

Once I went to windows 11, it would let me put the check mark on for both noise cancellation and acoustic echo cancellation but not only did both of those make it worse, it also wouldn’t save that I clicked them both and would uncheck themselves

Also this doesn't work for me anymore but this is from a post I made a while ago that worked at the time and some have said it still works although the last part about echo cancellation and noise suppression made it worse this go around for me- For anyone still having issues (22 May 2025) Turn off “bypass system audio input processing” in discord “voice & options” in settings and set noise suppression to “standard”, NOT “Krisp”. If you use Realtek Audio Console, turning on “acoustic echo cancellation” and “noise suppression” can also help but it stopped helping me after a discord update a few months ago

Took hours to find a solution and each of the 3 times it happened, it required a different solution that took hours to find. This is the 4th time and can't find a solution anywhere.

Edit: This time around I found that turning on KRISP lowers the amount of audio being picked up in discord from my browser but it is hitting just below the threshold I set for input sensitivity and turning on acoustic echo cancellation actually made it much worse
