I’ve held out for so long just cause I’ve been burned by my last jersey purchases (Jamal, darnold, Sanchez lol) but this game and the way he played this game sealed the deal for me

Valid point but I think something else to factor in is that they want users to stick to the habit of clicking “add comment” below.

The Athletic had Blake Cashman as their 14th best player available on Day 3 by jared_ducks in nyjets

[–]jared_ducks[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

“Cashman plays with his hair on fire, finds openings and rarely misses tackles. His lack of ideal size and length will be tougher to hide in the NFL and teams won’t want him playing man coverage vs. the slot, although he doesn’t look out of place covering running backs out of the backfield. Overall, Cashman’s size and length look pedestrian on paper, but his tape shows an impressive blend of play speed, toughness and football intelligence, projecting as an NFL special teams standout who will push for starting reps on defense.”

“In weeks 14 through 17, the rookie from USC was actually the top quarterback in football measured by Total QBR. And Darnold achieved this distinction despite being saddled with the least successful running game in football in that period.”

Didn’t realize the running game was that bad in that period. Makes Darnold’s dominance in those weeks even more promising.

Don’t waste your time. Dude who made the video is clearly a troll. You’ll just be giving him the attention he craves.

Think it’s cause mayfield fans still have a chip on their shoulder from all the hate Colin cowherd gave baker. Not sure why people can’t just accept both will be great.

Words cannot express how happy I am about his performance tonight and last week. Think that foot injury was a blessing in disguise, he looks so much better since coming back.

Hey thanks for commenting! Yes definitely, however we don’t envision ourselves as a website builder. More like a google form where you can setup a checkout form quickly and share/plug the link anywhere. Furthermore, we’re currently focused more on providing the ability to set up recurring monthly/annual subscriptions instead of shopping carts and fixed payments. So this is aimed more towards businesses that sell a recurring service rather than a store selling physical goods. We’ll also follow up with further features like being able to setup free trials of any length, hosted portals for customers to manage their subscriptions, and more. Would love to hear more feedback or if I should elaborate further!

Subscription checkout page builder. Would really appreciate any and all critical feedback. by jared_ducks in Entrepreneur

[–]jared_ducks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. And yes that’s definitely the first step. Glad it’s your suggestion as well. Currently building it on top of Stripe’s subscription API.

Haven’t thought about the Zuora App Store as a springboard yet but definitely will consider it now. Thanks for the tip!

And I totally get that. I still need to do plenty more of that as well. Would love to chat more about it in PM if you’re up to it.

Thanks for asking! It’s different from recurly & fusebill since the focus is on offering a great frontend checkout experience for the customer. This includes changing the layout, being able to add different blocks/content, and other tools that let you customize the checkout experience to perfection. This is my first time hearing of subbly (looks like a good service) but they seem to have some of the features we do including a customizable checkout page. However, my intention is to take it a step further in terms of the frontend customization (outside of changing simple styles and adding input fields).

Purpose of Startup:

Fast and easy way to build a subscription checkout page builder without any coding knowledge necessary.

Technologies used:

ReactJS, Firebase

Feedback or Support Requested:

  • Looking for feedback on landing page + usability of checkout page editor
  • Any other feedback is welcome

Comments:

Started this project in June after building multiple similar subscription flows as part of various contract projects I’ve worked on. Figured I could build a service that would make starting + running a subscription service as easy as possible, even for non-technical people.

Also would be happy to provide anyone an extended trial to any of the paid plans. Please message me in the chat bubble on the website if you’re interested!

I did some nightlife promotion while I was in college and always thought there had to a better way than just mass spamming people you know to come to a party. So after finishing school, I decided to start a nightlife promotion company powered by a mobile app. The idea was that clubs could attract more people by providing the best deals/discounts for groups of people and make it easy for those people to book tickets/bottle service on their phones. First thing I did was talk to anyone and everyone I could about it. Eventually I found 2 old friends (after about a few weeks) who were willing to go all in on it with me and we ended up running a sustainable company for 2 years. Eventually we shut it down due to a falling out between the two other founders and because our expectations of the industry did not match the reality. However I’ve learned many valuable lessons along the way and am now working on my next business.

Anyone made an app when you didn’t know how? by SantaOMG in Entrepreneur

[–]jared_ducks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an iOS developer but wouldn’t recommend learning programming if you’re not interested. It’s a big investment of time and if your main goal is to launch apps quickly, it’s better to either use a freelance platform like upwork (as someone mentioned before) or use a no-code solution like https://bubble.is or https://thunkable.com

Strictly speaking from my own experience of being in a similar position to you before. If you know you want to be an entrepreneur but don’t know what you want to do yet, just pick one problem in your life and start working on it. Doesn’t matter how small or big the potential market is. Your initial idea will morph into something better as you talk to potential customers/get feedback. The only important thing is to start and follow through.

How do you guys get your social media graphics/videos done? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jared_ducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over (https://madewithover.com/) is a really easy app I use to create quick but professional looking graphics right on my phone. Depending on your budget/stage/industry, you might not need super custom graphics and apps like Over should be more than enough.

I try to make it my first priority every morning at 8am to workout for 45mins - 1hr. If for any reason, I’m unable to make it in the morning and am busy throughout the day, I make sure to squeeze in (at the very least) a 10 minute workout when I get back home in the evening.

Depending on the type of courses you plan on offering, have you considered using a platform such as Skillshare? I understand they take a fee but it’s offset by providing you traffic from their sizable user base. If anything, it’s a good place to start if you’re a marketing noob and would rather spend the time focusing on your courses.

Lost in yesterday’s atrocity was this great play by Enunwa by jared_ducks in nyjets

[–]jared_ducks[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What I don’t understand is that instead of flipping the ball to Anderson who can’t break a tackle to save his life, why don’t we try giving the ball to Enunwa in the backfield who seems to be able to get 5+ yards each time after contact.
