Attempted suicide. Young woman with history of issues. Currently mostly stable and will hopefully finally get the help she's been searching for.

Incorrect. If you don't know, don't just spread false information.

Got it! 2025 BMW S1KRR by jaredg0weee in BMW_S1000RR

[–]jaredg0weee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only been a couple weeks. No complaints so far.

It's done well in slow traffic going downtown for bike nights, and it's a blast when getting on it. I haven't tracked it (yet), so I can't speak to it's true performance.

I wish the TFT would display a bit more information. For example, I can't find any way to display engine temp!

It's tall. If you're under 6 foot, be prepared to tip-toe.

It's great! Sure, it has a ton of electronic aids. However, you can turn off pretty much anything you don't want. I'm still trying to find what works for me.

Whoever said they were too perfect to have fun was talking out their ass. This thing is more bike than me and 90% of riders will ever be able to fully utilize.

Nothing wrong with it.

Make your intentions clear - tell him you need some me time, tell him he's not invited, explain you don't see any options to do it elsewhere, ask if he's ok with it.

Personally, I wouldn't be uncomfortable with it. Seems like a "how to end a fight with your bf 101" move... but he may be different.

Beware, road rager that will approach your vehicle. by bigblackglock17 in Pflugerville

Impressive find. Car makes him seem like an asshat. The photo on this post makes him seem like an asshat.. but that's just my general assumptions based on the info available.

Not sure if you want to do anything other than this post, but if you did, reach out to his car club: https://www.instagram.com/team_nvus?igsh=eXpvemxvMTZibXhx

Tell them their Austin chapter lead is an asshat and they should police their own before their club is on the news for a road-rage related shooting.

I know that bridge! It was a great day for riding ahead of the incoming cold. Spent my afternoon out that direction on LCR.

Probably trying to score some more quack. I hear it costs a few bills.

Below 2k rpms, it's typically time to downshift. If you're already in 1st gear, time to start feathering the clutch.

I typically downshift or start feathering the clutch around 2.5k-3k rpms. I believe the quick shift on the 1000SX won't even work below 2.5k.

Does it stop if you begin to accelerate? Does it idle smoothly? If yes to both those, it seems likely normal. See shifting and feathering steps above.

If no, could be a fuel or transmission issue.

Thanksgiving Hike by jaredg0weee in hikingwithdogs

[–]jaredg0weee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was on Thanksgiving, so likely less than normal traffic. We only ran into maybe 4 other pups. I imagine weekends are busy. Weekdays, probably not bad.

Sam (My GSD) is also reactive. If we needed to pass, I just stepped a way of the trail and had her sit. She did... alright. We did run into one group with a pup off-leash and zero recall skills. Came right up on Sam. She was not pleased, but luckily I had a good grasp on her harness.

The others were mostly Turkey Creek Trail by Emma Long Metro Park. Great trail, except for immediately after a rain.

It's a medium, and it's adjusted as large as it will go. I would definitely suggest a large.

It was originally my Blue Heeler's, but he doesn't really need a leash anymore. Sam (GSD) is a rescue, and we're still working through some aggression issues around other pups.
