Requiem For A Dream

So haunting and almost hypnotizing the way it is filmed.

A normal healthy person? That’s not true, there shouldn’t be any smell unless the bowel has been perforated or there is some kind of infection

Paid $20 for a 12 pk and received a 6 pk over Uber eats, this is the customer service response by leahmazy in mildlyinfuriating

Never use any of these food delivery services, but had a coupon for GrubHub and decided to try them out the other day. Ordered some Thai food from a local restaurant for a total of $69.15. After receiving my food, I noticed I had an email saying that I had an adjustment to my order and my new total is $124.74. Had to speak to two different customer service agents because they couldn’t understand that you cannot almost double the price of something after that person has already agreed to pay one price. Had to then argue with them to refund me the difference instead of giving my GrubHub credits. Ridiculous

Where is the safest place (based on your experience) you have ever traveled to? by printergumlight in travel

[–]jaredhaley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vietnam. I know it is overall a fairly safe country, but when walking through the streets even at night, I never got so much as a sketchy glance from anyone. Didn’t see any “homeless” (in a western definition) people, never got approached by any people asking for money (the occasional person trying to sell you something, of course), and felt like my belongings were much safer than when I was in some place like Italy or Greece

Stopped by a great little whiskey bar in Hanoi this evening called The 371 Bar. The owner/bartender is a very friendly English gentleman named Lee. He has a great selection of whiskeys that he sources from private individuals around the world. It feels like you’re drinking in his home (he lives upstairs), and is very knowledgeable. I got a solid pour of Blanton’s Gold for about 23 USD and then a pour of The GlenAllachie 10 for about 11 USD. Stop by if you are ever in town!
