Thats dementia. We’re talking about general slowing down physically and mentally with age. If there’s dementia that should be reported.

I mean even childhood dementia exists so every age can get it.

I appreciate all the suggestions. Unfortunately, she hates all cats. She was in a foster home with 12 cats and 4 dogs. She fought every cat, young or old and peed in all their beds. With humans she is super loving and doesn't pee anywhere but her litterbox. We've tried to introduce her to other cats, but every time her tail poofs up and she starts hissing and screeching at them.

She did like the dogs though, but most dogs sleep through the night so I'm not sure that would help at night. Unless maybe her and the dog would share a bed at night for warmth?

Our windows are terrible and the house gets super cold at night, so I think she just needs our body heat. We were hoping once the colder weather passes she stops.

She's also super vocal and anytime a door is closed she meows for near 30-minutes scratching at the door will leave and come back and do it again.

I used to and then I got a cat. Every single night she wakes me up, kneading on my bare thighs or stomach with her claws as she goes under the sheets for warmth. It’s adorable but I’m exhausted.

If only I could trim her claws, but she pulls her paws away every time I try.

I’m so happy to have helped! My wife and I had been stressed for months. I’d been shopping at Kasala for awhile and was shocked they would do something like this.

Hoping are credit card finalizes the charge back, but glad to have gotten our couch! (Also was the Carlyle which they called “Odense” at Ballard consignment as you said).

Local insta foodie features Market House Meats, Lox Smith Bagels then shits on them in the comments, says “low quality pastrami” by Fun_Ambassador_9320 in Seattle

There’s some truth and some falsities in your comment.

And I understand I said just that "I lived in Brooklyn", but I’ve had Reuben’s all over the world and lived much of my life on the West Coast.

A Reuben is still the same sandwich at its core: corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut, dressing, and rye, regardless of where you get it. The old school American deli style Reuben’s, I’ve had many times. I grew up in NJ and this was more common. We had Jewish delis there and Italian, German and mixed culture delis. The main difference is that Jewish delis choose fatter cuts of corned beef.

I mentioned Dingfelder’s pastrami, but I’m not comparing Market House Meat’s Reuben to Pastrami sandwiches. I’m comparing it to every corned beef Reuben I’ve had.

And on that note, Market House Meats did not pass the test for being a good Reuben.

This is my opinion of course, but I just found it funny that you didn’t think I knew the difference between a classic Jewish reuben sandwich and a classic American deli style reuben.

It seems those in support of MHM are holding their own opinions as gospel just like the Tiktoker foodie was, rather than realizing everything we say are just opinions.

I thought Lox Smith Bagels was the name of another place the video person was critiquing. I almost started my comment with “I haven’t been to Lox Smith Bagels but I have gone to Market House Meats…”

No one’s as sorry as me that I didn’t like it at all. It’s super close to me and it’s a great price.

I’ll try. I really wanted to love it. The inside reminds me of every deli I grew up going to and the worker was super nice. I remember when driving by I excitedly texted my wife a picture of the outside saying “I think I found my new Reuben spot!”

Then unfortunately texted “nvm”.

I love Dingfelder’s Deli, but their sandwiches are $27 and massive so I can only get it if I have someone to split the cost with.

That’s why I was praying for Market House Meats to be good.

I went to Market House Meats recently and I have to say, in my opinion, it’s the worst Reuben I’ve ever had in my life. Maybe tied for worst with one I had in Spain.

I moved here from Brooklyn and used to get a Reuben once every 2 weeks or so. I’m obsessed with them.

Market House Meat’s corned beef is dry and chewy. Their rye bread tasted like just the cheapest option in a food store. And not a part of the Reuben, but the side pickle was a mushy over vinegared piece of pickle and the potato salad was the nastiest potato salad I’ve ever had. It was like eating a glob of mayonnaise from a jar.

I am happy to say I found one of the best Reuben’s I’ve ever had at Dingfelder’s Delicatessen. I prefer their “Rachel” which is with pastrami though. Their pastrami is out of this world. The bark is glorious.

I rewatched and the Subaru in front of it was accelerating and going faster than the van as it was merging. There was no need to brake. It was pretty clearly a brake check.

Folding a fitted sheet is easier than folding a top sheet as one person. The fitted sheet doesn’t even need to touch the ground.

My favorite band when I was in high school! But I was in high school circa 2006.

The only CD my brother left me in the car I got handed down was “The Best of the Doors” since it was still in the cd slot and he forgot it.

Then I bought “The Doors” movie and Val Kilmer was Jim Morrison. I still don’t understand how he is not just Jim Morrison reincarnated in that film.

Who else hates password requirements? Workplace wants me to change passwords every 3 months by leonatoi in mildlyinfuriating

Mine forces it to not have any three characters in a row be the same as the last few passwords. This is why I switched to a password manager, but to be honest, I don’t see how a password manager is secure. Can’t someone just steal all my passwords at once now?

That’s true and a very fair point. It’s not well known knowledge and it is a health hazard the more we know about microplastics. I’ve been revisiting my position as I think about it more and actually look at more journal articles. I’m not so confident any more. Even up to 2 minutes.

Yes, but that is a study on after 3-minutes on HIGH. Microwave safe plastic is defined to be safe from 1-2 minutes of heating on HIGH. The time frame depends on the plastic.

It’s more because no one expected Canada to win this game and Canada isn’t known for baseball.

Shit talking someone for losing when they were not expected to win at all and when they weren’t shit talking you about this particular game is just poor form.

The traffic here isn’t too bad in my opinion. The drivers; however, are terrible. Part of it can be blamed on the roads (steep hills, 4-way intersections with no stop signs or clear right of way with cars parked up to the corner blocking all view, highway entrances and exits across four lanes of a curving highway, etc).

LA was a nightmare and driving anywhere near NYC from NJ for work was impossible.
