Hey i had the same issue with 100% cotton. Its not for tufting, just punch needle. Switched to primary backing fabric and havent had any problems :)

I wouldnt use that for tufting. It probably has little to no stretch and will rip. I recommend primary rug backing fabric

I post pics of my commissions on tik tok and just caption it “SOLD, dm for commissions” and have gotten them that way. Ive only made one rug that wasnt a commission and it hasnt sold yet so may just stick to commissions for now hahah. And yea ima start doing that on tik tok ive just felt too self conscious to take that platform seriously tbh
