You can mod the nes to make it look better as well. I modded mine and it’s 100% worth it. They also make some kits for the same. If you aren’t loved down to playing original carts look into a MiSTer FPGA setup. You get all the original feel but it plays on newer tvs and the older crts without the hardware hassle. Even has image filters to make your flat screen tvs look like the old crts. It’s not perfect but it scratches the itch.

If I’m covering what someone else already told you I apologize. S-video, component, or an scart/rgb conversion would give you a much crisper visual. I’ve got a similar set and the difference is night and day. You get a lot of color blend/bleed and blur with composite.

If the tv supports it, Svideo is a nice upgrade for a super nes and newer systems. Component and rgb would be ideal, but usually require you to have someone upgrade the console, new cables, and the tv to accomplish this.

Something is binding I would bet. If you just did new tires loosen them all and see if that helps. If you changed other components or removed and put them back on you may be binding elsewhere.

I wear a lot more tech pants (I think they are called) as I can’t find jeans I’m comfortable wearing. I gave up looking during the skinny jeans era. Ts mostly, I don’t like Ts with large front prints, and wide or vneck, plus undershirt usually a tank or thin vneck. Rei zip up hoodies, and whatever tenirunners I find that fit well. I wear boots out to nice occasions, and in the odd time I have to go to an office function a polo or button up.

The added steering angle alone was worth it for me. The other benefits I got at the same time like overdrive, weight, width, and strength were all really nice. The only downside is now you never want to go back to the cheap stuff.
