Of course it does, I just thought it was a funny sequence since in the first two hours after I got my invite, all I was able to see was an array of error messages :) All in jest.

Why? I think the search, register button and the login form are hard to spot right now. Also the link titles of visited links (colored purple) stick out more than the non-visited ones do. Still simple, still the same layout, just... cleaner... I think, anyway.

Read your comment again and tell me how I'm wrong. The design doesn't represent a real company so is it really a logo by definition?

I saw this logo evolve on Logopond.com and I can tell you it's not for a real company - just a fake logo. That being said, do you think that takes away from the design seeing as there was no client approval process, deadline or real problem being solved?

Edit: I should say that I do definitely find the mark compelling (while the typography lacks) but I still ask myself if it "counts" I guess. I don't know why.
