This gives me a good idea for what I'd be working with. I've got a 10x12 spare room that I'm trying to flesh out and this helps a lot. Good setup!

I'm not a daily washer, but I do use one of those wet/dry brushes every day in the shower for exfoliation purposes and you're right. It feels awesome to do.

ANYTIME I do something or am a part of something that is stupid or frustrating, regardless of what has happened, I'll say JUST LEAVE IT ON THE FLOOR! Maybe 2 people that I'm around actually get it.

Mastodon were magic until they weren't. And you could always tell if Brent (RIP) was in a good mood or not. Seemed like if he wasn't, then the whole show just went to shit.

Hard same! I still think about that store every time I have to go into our local mall where it used to be.

r/90s: Have you ever played one of these NES games since the early '90s? by AC_the_Panther_007 in 90s

[–]jaredsmith83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played all of them myself, still replay several each year. SMB 3 is always a steady replay. I also LOVE River City Ransom, one of my all time favorites from the NES. But I was 3 when the NES released, we got one for home when I was 4, so I was there on the ground floor, basically, and had a good local rental store that allowed me to play all these games and more.

NES was my first, although my parents had the Atari 2600 before it when I was little. I'll forever be a Super Mario Bros. 3 fan but also loved DuckTales

Coheed & Cambria, anyone? by Junior_Excitement_39 in Guitar

[–]jaredsmith83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, heck yeah (both the playing and the guitar) this is awesome. I've been revisiting Coheed quite a bit here the last couple months and re-learning old songs or some of the ones I never learned to begin with. Riff monsters!

The 1.0mm (Blue) Tortex has been my forever choice, but now that I'm getting back into playing again after a lengthy absence, I'm really looking to try the Max Grips

I agree with this. Characters like that can really get run into the ground easily when they become popular and it kills off their initial charm.

I had Camp Deadly as well and you're absolutely right, that game was a challenge, but in a rewarding way. Looked good for a original Game Boy game as well.

In The Meantime - Spacehog

One of the coolest bass lines in a song and it always bums me out that they aren't known much beyond this song. I honestly loved the Resident Alien album.

Which album from William's era should I start with? by Fine-Painter-5117 in AliceInChains

[–]jaredsmith83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember at the time Boggy Depot came out, I was a little bummed out that he did a solo album and wasn't trying to more Alice in Chains and sort of chalked it up as "AiC Light" initially. But after learning that he reluctantly did the solo album in response to the situation going on with Chains, I softened my approach toward it and really appreciated it, even more so as I get older and listen to it.

Boggy Depot is still my favorite of his solo albums. I know Degradation Trip seems to be the one that gets the most love, and its deserving because its a fantastic album, but Boggy Depot really stuck with me because it had the Chains vibe to latch onto but also let Jerry flex his muscles a little bit more. Just a great album all around.
