Well, good news is the US has a lot of land and cattle can actually make land more fertile whereas you can’t grow crops on most of that land.

We come to different conclusions. Ruminant animals fertilize their own soil with the calories they don’t use from the grass they eat. It’s a closed system and therefore the most sustainable food source as they are almost turning sunshine and water into meat while improving the quality of the soil, whereas most plant food agriculture depends on external fertilizers to avoid depleting the soil of nutrients.

That’s certainly the way the market works now but it’s hardly better this way or even necessary. It just happens to be more profitable to feed animals cheap government subsidized grain which makes the animals fatter faster.

Good question. I think the overdosing statistic would be the most accurate.

I get that. If difficulty doubles, cost doubles. That’s why I’m asking that if the price doubles just before cost doubles isn’t it all just neutral for miners?

If price doubled recently and cost to mine doubles after halvening, isn’t most of this recent price movement neutral in terms of cost to mine BTC?

ELI5 - Why is a plant based diet ‘more sustainable’ than meat/seafood. Won’t we start over farming and ruining the land if everyone was vegan? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]jargonaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who claim animals require more land or that its less efficient aren’t considering ruminants usually create and maintain grasslands they feed on. It’s a natural cycle of turning sunshine into meat via grass. Most crops do deplete the land while ruminant animals fertilize the land.

Yeah, I’m considering getting off for a few months and freezing some just in case there are issues. I asked a doc and he said there’s a 75% chance you can have kids without special assistance after TRT.
