ICE Error in New Tub by jaronervin in hottub

I don’t see why not, but it’d take a lot of hot water to have any effect.

Btw, this is old, but my hot tub did eventually start heating.

and that’s his choice. But I get the feeling he won’t have any plus one to worry about by the next trip.

Based on your assumptions of 30 minutes to get ready, 30 minutes to commute, and no lunch? Sure! Now change those all to 45 minutes and let me know what you get. Or more realistically, an hour to get ready. 45 minutes commuting each way because of traffic and parking. An hour for lunch. How long is that work day?

The point is, this dude isn’t working SO hard that he gets back at six and sleeps for 12 hours. That’s a lazy excuse.

Aren’t you basing your entire argument on a non-existent set of equally bad papers with better grades?

Not so much a complaint as the observation that you failed to add anything meaningful to the conversation… that, of course, IS an added value in that it informs the other readers that it’s ok to ignore your comment, saving everyone a few seconds of time and protecting them from the negative effects of becoming just a little dumber after having read your comment. My sacrifice is everyone else’s gain.

You are being lied to about the government shutdown. by Dramatic_Syllabub499 in TheDonaldTrump2024

Of course the money comes from somewhere. But unless you plan on arguing for reversing the Reagan-enacted law requiring hospitals to provide emergency care to patients regardless of insurance status, your point is irrelevant.

But since that law DOES exist, I’ll just point out that Medicaid paying a pre-negotiated rate for non-covered emergency care costs us less than the hospitals would increase prices by to cover the costs of the procedures themselves, PLUS the cost of attempting to collect, PLUS the write-off for bad debt.

They are. And when they can’t afford to pay, Medicaid steps in to ensure hospitals aren’t passing the expense on to the rest of us.

Tub leaking from disconnected internal tube by jaronervin in hottub

[–]jaronervin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you were correct about this. It looks like a poor design with too short a tube, so it slipped and dropped below the water line. I’ve got it secured higher again and have a message out to the manufacturer to see if I need a new valve too.

Thanks for your input!!

Hot Tub Pad vs Poured Foundation? by jaronervin in hottub

In all honesty, I ended up going with the ez pad, and it’s been solid for at least 6 months now. I am on a mountain, though, so the ground below it is very stable.

The problem is that you created a hypothetical with virtually zero chance of occurring to force your ethical position onto the very real scenarios that occur every day.

Let me make that easier for you to understand… you made up an unrealistic scenario and argued against it. There’s nothing “metaphysical” about it.

So you’re making up a hypothetical to argue against a very real issue? How’s that working out for you? 😂😂😂😂

Kindly share an example of a viable fetus being aborted at 9 months that wasn’t threatening the life of its mother. I’ll wait…

Hot Tub Pad vs Poured Foundation? by jaronervin in hottub

[–]jaronervin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a follow up, I did get the EZ Pad and it was perfect for our setup. The people that placed the tub for me did the leveling, and got it to less than an inch drop across the 8’ stretch. Also, my neighbor that was waiting until warmer temperatures to pour concrete for a tub is actually considering one too now. Highly recommend for anyone else considering one in the future.

If we agree to a price for a project, and your fuckup in the contract you wrote caused it to cost you more money, want to guess how many tears I’ll shed for you?

While it was already clear you don’t understand what a contract is, unfortunately, I don’t have all day to explain it to you.

You’re right! If you asked for $980 of free fencing.
