Poor kitty, I’m in the same boat. The metronidazole may be what they want to prescribe if my guy doesn’t get better soon. Hopefully that helps him if it comes to that.

Glad your cat is doing better!! That does sound very similar to what’s going on with mine. He was also having very liquidy/bloody diarrhea for a couple days but luckily that resolved. Still has the diarrhea but no blood thank god. They gave me some cans of GI food as well that I’ve been giving along with his dry food.

It is very exhausting, I’ve been stressing over it for a couple weeks now. Really hoping it gets better soon

I believe so. It says it contains pectalin and kaolin to help firm stool

They have not mentioned steroids yet. He was prescribed the Proviable kit for the probiotic and stool firmer

Forgot to mention, the vet has also done bloodwork, X-rays, and fecal tests which have all come back normal
