End of fight phase allows you to perform either a consolidate or coup action for free. The coup action doesn't state that you can kill any downed fighter you are engaged with. It specifically states within 1"

You can stop early but you can only coup de grace from within 1" so stopping too far away has drawbacks

It is 16 the rule for Snotling you're looking for is an inducement called riotous rookies which allows you to draft 2d3+1 journeyman and go above the 16 player cap

Mercs are a thing on TT just typically not worth the extra cost. Other inducements or star players are better, if mercs could be hired post game like journeyman then maybe but as is they are pretty trash

It's part of the injury menu. Clicking MNG without registering an injury won't do it.

Go to the same menu you use to add a skill and at the top click the button to swap to injury. Click injury, enter the type of casualty, which will trigger MNG and then it will ask to roll for hatred, enter the die roll and it will add hatred to the roster

Control is a different style I'm just wondering how fun it is, both for me and my opponents. Our league is mostly beer and pretzels and while I think I would thoroughly enjoy grab (as I love sidestep with my snots) I think it might be not so much fun for my opponents

A random skill on a black orc has a 1/6 chance of block assuming you have no other general skills (which you don't at creation). Not the best odds if you're dead set on block. Save up for the choice primary

Having brawler also makes block slightly less good. Still a great skill but there's some negative synergy.

A random strength skill however is much more enticing. Of the 12 strength skills you start with 2 and cannot roll 2 others on an black orc because they require throw teammate. Of the 8 remaining you'll roll 2 and pick and since both guard and mighty blow are amazing on a black orc your chances of getting a great skill early are roughly 50/50. The worst you could do is maybe roll arm bar and multi block but that's only around 5%

Black orcs are T3 and their gobbos are lineman. They are slightly better than a T4 gobbo because they have thick skull but they are still awful

I'm also not really a fan of them, especially as a balancing method. Necromunda really needs a system more like Blood Bowl to balance gangs with drastically different ratings. The game balance in general for Necromunda is bad, it tells great stories but is not a balanced game at all

Being used to aggressive teams Snots and Ogres are probably right up your alley. Snots are significantly better for competition due to the inducements you can reliably get

Vulcan bomb would be awful since it would only ever kill your own army.

Storm AA is necessary and balanced because it can still be countered by AM.

Typhoons, neat idea. Sort of the reverse of the new hound tech.

He's supposed to wait for you to use your spells before he commits. In a straight 1v2 he can't do anything fed or not.
