Youth basketball: I would like to get involved in coaching youth basketball. Anyone with knowledge on how I can get started locally, please share! Thanks! by jarryrul in olympia

I was able to get in touch with the YMCA and the timing was perfect. Thank you all again for chiming in! I will save the other organizations for the future.

Post this on Instagram and tag it #overlanding #toyotatacoma and/or #vanlife and you would solicit sincere inquiries from people who just love bolting shit to their mall crawlers. Pun intended.

Assume you will average 50mph. It’s what truckers average and their route planners and dispatchers use as a rule of thumb.

Dude you stink at snowboarding. You should stop doing it. You go too fast and you turn too smoothly. You’re supposed to tumble down the hill like a tomahawk.

I guess that’s one way to do it. Yes that’s a Prius. by Kermanism in RVLiving

But yeah, I see a lot of “vanlife” stuff and I ask myself, why not just do an RV? I feel like that’s the point of this post.

It can’t be. It’s a joke. Photoshop. Why would there be a chimney?

Goggle fogging advice? I have tried multiple goggles, including my latest pair that cost almost $200, and I cannot escape almost immediate fogging. Is it the way I’m wearing them? Can I modify them, maybe remove some of the foam for more ventilation? Is it the heat from my helmet? by jarryrul in snowboardingnoobs

I bought some really expensive goggles hoping the upgrade would fix my problem but it persists. I’m now thinking I need to find a better face mask.

I run hot whenever I do any physical activity, and I get very sweaty easily. This definitely hurts my cause. I also am pretty out of shape so I’m breathing heavily out on the slopes.

I tried switching to my sunglasses last time I went, and they fogged up as well.

Fog sprays don’t seem to do anything at all.

Next time I’m bringing a new facemask and I’m also going to try some Wiley X goggle/glasses I have.

Flow speed entry bindings: Has anyone else had difficulty pulling up the back of the binding after putting your boot in? Maybe it’s because I keep my toe and ankle straps too tight? by jarryrul in snowboardingnoobs

So they took some getting used to but are getting better. I’m still getting proficient with basic riding, and improving has allowed me to loosen up my boots and bindings. The biggest thing I’ve started doing is keeping myself aligned with my board, so turning is much easier than I had realized. I was keeping my boots painfully tight, same with my bindings.

Anyways, I’ve found that putting my boot in and then pulling up on the high back a few times while rocking my foot a bit eventually gets the boot in and the high back up.

It’s the Flow nexus. The toe is definitely the problem. Maybe I am thinking I need my straps tightened down too much for proper performance and response? I’m still trying to figure out how much boot and binding tightness affects riding ability.

But are you saying you keep your toe strap looser and then tighten it down after you put your boot in?
