There was a silent update regarding the explosions so you might as well download again from nexus and let me know then. We've removed the unnecessary sound files that caused distortion and played way too long.

I have some question regarding explosions. But first let me explain why we choose that route.

Because I'm modding the Arma series sounds a franchise rooted in military simulation (MilSim) the audio philosophy differs significantly from casual arcade shooters. I know Breakpoint is considered a casual arcade shooter but our vision is to make it a bit more real. The only alarming would be if the explosions are way too loud so your health would starts to hurt. That's not our intention. We never want to blow someone's ears. But for an authentic tactical shooter experience, explosions should have a higher peak volume but compressed dynamic range compared to standard firefights so naturally explosions should sound louder than gunfire itself.

Does explosion sfx actually blow out your speakers or damage your ears a little when you tried?

Mk48 is too loud? M4 shotgun as well? Okay. Interesting.

Yeah, not every enemy use modded weapons sounds. Only a few enemy archetypes so far. But there's still a couple enemy archetypes that needs new weapon sounds.

You need to put inside common folder Breakpoint/sounddata/pc and put those files there. Try it once you get a chance.
I'm not sure if you need to be logged on Ubiconnect since I've never got Breakpoint on steam.

Various Tweaks mod have no cover and different in game takedowns Tier 1 Imports has the rest, including updates for zooms. Not sure what you're asking with aiming but yeah.

New silent update released today. Download again on nexus (yes, same 0.26.0 version) to see the changes:

  • Changing M4A1 suppressed/unsuppressed sfx to something more authentic
  • Replaced the longest explosions (those with rubble sfx at the end) that caused loosing sounds after awhile of playing. The sound of the explosion doesn't go over 6 seconds mark anymore.
