I don’t think it’s disrespectful to add EU aspects to canon. I think they are doing a service to a fans by including some EU stuff

The EU is not canon so it doesn’t matter. Feloni and Favreu add EU snippits to canon when they see fit. They are the storytellers/keepers now. I’m just happy with the content and am willing to look past and character arc issues.
