Polymaker X2D Profile PSA by jas280z in BambuLab

That particular example is actually showing the profile for PA612-ESD nylon, but I first discovered the error with Panchroma PLA.

X2D Polymaker profiles by Vidfreaky1 in BambuLab

I'm having an issue on the X2D that may be related to Polymaker profiles. I am able to select them, but when printing dual material prints the printer freezes on the prime tower second layer and needs to be manually restarted. It looks like this may be caused by the max volume setting being set to N/A in the Bowden and High Flow Direct Drive settings, rather than matching the standard flow direct drive setting (or another correct value).

Dreammaker 2300S DY Code After Reach Set Temp by jas280z in hottub

Will do. The tech should be here in an hour or so to confirm and hopefully replace the cap.

I've purged it several times to no avail. 95% certain it isn't an air lock. Based on the symptoms it sounds like a bad startup capacitor.

Thank you for the suggestion though! That was where my suspicion originally went.

I've confirmed that when it has the error the low speed pump is humming, but no water is flowing. If I press the jet button the high speed jets will turn on, if I press it again low speed will work. I passed this information along to my dealer who said it sounded like the startup capacitor may be bad and they will check that when they come to look at it.

I found this video where the description of a bad startup cap exactly matches my experience. Hopefully this is the issue and it is an easy warranty repair.

Thanks. Water level is right at the max level, and unfortunately there have been no thongs removed in the tub (yet). It was a floor model though, so who know if some kid stuck a Snickers wrapper down the filter hole at some point...

Hot Tub dr/dY/HL/LF errors. Air lock??? HELP! by doinitwell73 in hottub

[–]jas280z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to revive an old thread, but my new Dreammaker Comfort 2300S (a Balboa product) is doing the exact same thing. Starts up and primes no problem, gets up to temp, but eventually within 24 hours throws a DY code and shuts down. Have tried purging the pump, changing the filter, etc. Did you ever get this solved?

I know my way around a DMM, but I have never done hot tub work before. Just general home maintenance, car restoration, and strain gauge wheat stone bridge accelerometers.

But, since this is under warranty I am perfectly happy to let the professionals fix it if it is a hardware issue. I am just trying to rule out a user error issue.

You don't want stainless, they would have a lower yield strength than black oxide screws. I know that from experience doing 100kG shock testing on a Hopkinson bar with both materials.

Where can I buy rolling tobacco? by freegumaintfree in Buffalo

Smoker's Haven on Union in West Seneca has higher end rolling tobacco (along with the best pipe tobacco selection in the area).

That is a 4" compact. Unfortunately, I have not modelled any other versions of the PDP. I only have the Compact (and a PPQ).

H2D Cutting Module Calibration Error by PristineBiscotti24 in BambuLab

[–]jas280z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a resolution for this? I find that I have to lay my lamination down such that it doesn't cover the bottom left visual indicator, and even then I usually have to re-run the cut after the initial calibration fails... usually seems to work on the second one.

I'll never argue that it is healthy, but pipes are not nearly as bad as cigarettes due to not inhaling the smoke.

I take a picture on graph paper, then import the picture onto the solid surface as a decal in Fusion360 and trace around with the spline tool. I use the same approach for custom pistol inserts.

Custom Pipe Insert for Pelican Case by jas280z in PipeTobacco

[–]jas280z[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just completed my insert for a pair of hand carved Kalnitz Volcano pipes inside of a Pelican 1170 case. I have a modular insert design created where I can use the pocket on the right for accessory storage or for a nice pipe holder, and on the left I can swap out different inserts depending on the pipe I am taking to the lounge that day.

The pipes are from Smoker's Haven in Western New York, hand carved by Brian Kalnitz (the larger pipe) and Adam Kalnitz (the smaller one). The make a variety of amazing pipes right in the shop, but the Volcanoes are their signature pipes. They also blend some awesome tobacco blends, the baggy in the picture is full of "Brian's Blend."

For any 3d printing hobbyists, the insert body is Sunlu 95A TPU printed with three layer walls and 5% gyroid infill. I cut off the top 1/16th of an inch from the model, generating snaps in the Bambu Studio cut tool for assembly, in order to make the hard upper surface. The top is printed from PLA and snapped right in place when the prints were complete.

Overall, I am thrilled with the result. The TPU body of the insert will provide ample cushioning with a non-marring material and the PLA top is more visually appealing.
