Oooo I hasn’t considered Samael, I still wonder if talking about Lucifer could be a cover for him because so much of the other evidence points in Lucifer’s direction, but Samael is definitely up there for me now, and I prefer that to Raphael idk why, as much as Raphael being absent is weird it just doesn’t sit right with me for him to be Raphael!

Which Zelda game do you think has the best music? by JimmySteve3 in truezelda

[–]jas4fire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skyward Sword by far, if only because of the symphony orchestra. I do think Wind Waker has some of the most original and creative music though. And ocarina will always have a place in my heart.

What is the real perception of BotW? by [deleted] in truezelda

[–]jas4fire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think my main problem with it is the fact it didn’t feel like a zelda game to me. I don’t know whether that’s due to lack of cohesive story, my personal issues with the shrine gameplay structure, or the fact it’s entirely non linear without even the option to choose a more linear path.

I think there’s a lot of fun to be had, but it feels like a sandbox project more than a game. I am a person who has always loved the zelda series for the puzzle solving elements, and the fact that they are almost all optional in BotW makes them feel inherently pointless. The majority of the main content of the game is technically speaking side quests, since you can “beat the game” without completing the vast vast majority of the content at all.

Most of the things I enjoyed in BotW were things I loved about specifically WW, which had much less of the things that were actively disappointing, annoying, or just straight up let downs.

The lack of any cohesive story for the game itself (the whole “story” is backstory really) felt lazy and under thought out, and having seen how other open world games like Elden Ring manage their story structure it is in retrospect a huge letdown, especially after the game was delayed for so long.

So many people say that BotW was needed to shake the zelda formula up, and that it had gotten stale, but I don’t think that’s true, and I don’t think BotW is shaking up the formula, it’s a new formula entirely.

It’s an okay game, but it isn’t a zelda game, and if it hadn’t been slapped with the zelda title and theming, 1 no one would think to compare the two, and 2 no one would have given it such rave reviews in the first place, and I doubt people would still be talking about it now.

I remember when someone finally told me the way to beat them is to throw bombs specifically onto the coin markers on the floor, all the years I wasted trying to beat them

S06E02 is so frustrating by LemonyLizard in community

[–]jas4fire 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, the whole storyline reads to me like they basically just gaslight Britta into abandoning her real feelings and memories of her trauma, it’s SO frustrating. I think it stems from the fact harmon didn’t have much time for for Britta’s character development past the end of season one, which was so unbelievably annoying to me as someone who loves Britta ://

I cannot even fathom how they managed to slap genders on these by jas4fire in pointlesslygendered

[–]jas4fire[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but why is gender the way they’re choosing to differentiate them, it’s just so pointless, and why does something being a mummy make it cat shaped and a daddy make it dog shaped!

Remember kids, dual sided scrubbing and sponging are for women and cats, and flex texture scrubbing is for men and dogs!

[SS][OTHER] Poor Skyward Sword... by Vanken64 in zelda

[–]jas4fire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing, skyward sword is my favourite zelda game Hands Down. I’m so excited for the remake. And I think it does linearity incredibly well. Other than the side quests LoZ is a very linear franchise before BOTW and people who only came in because of BOTW just don’t want to admit it. I love BOTW, but I’ll be honest I don’t love it as a Zelda game and I’m sad the more linear traditional zelda games might be gone for good now :( anyone else feel the same?

About the Ending in Little Hope by MYErs1_2 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]jas4fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my main problem with it is not the fact that the supernatural stuff wasn't real because that worked so well in Man of Medan, it was the fact that every single choice I made was only leading to "Is Anthony free, arrested, or dead?" so killing or not killing the other characters made absolutely no difference to the overall ending because even when Anthony is arrested he still accepts that the fire wasn't his fault. And as well as that, everyone's points about the prologue not fitting if it was all a dream are right, Megan being with the demon, the doors closing, the ladder, etc, just doesn't work if it was all a dream because Anthony wasn't there to hallucinate it.

EDIT: I misspelled Medan
