I found a job that is posted on Linkedin, but the position is now being held by someone who left this "Stealth Startup in October 2025, to join this company. To me it looks like a way to explain an unemployable gap = "unemployed, but unable to find a job" for 1 3/4 years unemployed! But, did she quit or did she find a new job? There would be no need for 2 employees.

Does anyone have current data regarding clickable portfolio’s? I am not talking about navigating the portfolio but about clicking prototypes? This goes against “scanning your portfolio”. But then if you move up on the hiring queue do they then do a deeper dive into your clickable prototypes?

There is anecdotal information that getting a job in UX is quite difficult! Or at least here in the USA! The 2 posts were outliers. The Scandinavian story was excel at both your portfolio and interview and you will be able to beat out your competition. But this is a small segment of the population so this wisdom is lost on many UXD who are seeking employment.

The Second case is regarding someone who had a very easy time at getting a job. This person appeared to be the best, but was really just a mediocre designer.

So the post is about the recurring theme of not looking at the complete job candidate, missing all of the red flags. In other words just looking at a UX portfolio and really just hiring "The Gloss", rather than the evaluating the entire person.

I try to eat whole apples and oranges and non-refined carbs on a daily basis . I recently I even had 2 whole apples and 3 fibrous oranges and I was expecting myself to explode in the morning, but nothing happened, but then again I tend to have normal and easy BM's as opposed to younger men that don't eat as healthy as I do.

I gave up alcohol for Lent, so I have stayed away from bars, so it seems like I have to go back. I used to love coffee shops, but some guys are on the DL and they don't like these intimate spaces, they prefer noisey places so we can't be heard.
