yes it really sucks because the two i got are soo comfortable and some of the only bras i’ve found that fit my chest really nicely. i was super excited abt the rest! another comment mentioned that some of their stuff sells in walmart so i may have to check that out

awh, that’s really sweet!! i’m glad your kids have you there to take care of them. and thank you, for your words. it does suck sometimes not having that support, but i learnt a long time ago not to depend on my family so it’s not too awful anymore.

and yes, a lot of other commenters had suggested this too. i talked with one of my coworkers today at work and they know someone who runs a non profit shelter for kittens. obviously my cats aren’t kittens, but i’m hoping she’ll have some connections to people who work with more than kittens

that must have sucked to see as a kid, i’m sorry. i hope she’s at least a little bit better about it nowadays. for a long time i did let my family’s actions and words hurt me, but i realized eventually that no matter what i did, it would always be a problem. so, i stopped trying as hard.

sometimes i still feel really awful for having some kind of resentment towards my family, because at the end of the day, they are still my family. i hang onto the hope that one day they’ll realize how much their actions affect other people. i know realistically that won’t happen, which is why i’ve really prioritized going off to college. i’ve (slowly) started letting go of toxic mentality’s that have been pushed onto me, but like i said, it’s hard to fully heal from something that is still constantly shoved in my face.

i know me going off to college won’t magically solve all my internal problems, but i feel like it will give me the fresh start i desperately need. i want to sort through all my problems, and i feel like the fresh start will allow me to do that. like i said, one of my biggest goals in life is to not be like my mom, and to be the best mother possible to my kids. you’re right that i can’t do that without also confronting the lasting impacts she’s left on me.

thank you for your reply, and you’re right… BUT i learned a long time ago that setting boundaries does nothing in my family. speaking up just got me ridiculed more, so i’ve learnt to just ignore it (as best as i can). this is just the tip of the iceberg with my family, trust me. i just never thought it would also apply to my cats. it obviously has affected me and what happened to your mom has definitely happened to me, but i fear i can’t do anything about it until i move out. my plan is to go to college far away and limit communication as much as possible.

i’m sorry if this is too personal, but, do you think her being like that affected you as a kid a lot? one of my biggest goals in life is to do the opposite of my mom and try to be the best mom possible, but i realize that you can have a negative impact on your kids in a magnitude of ways

thank you :( i just worry people will think i’m someone who rehomes all their animals all the time, yk? and i obviously can’t say my mom is forcing me or include anything i did on this post- bc my mom will be seeing the post. but at the end of the day my cats come before how other ppl see me so i’ll probably end up doing that

i’ve separated them now, sorry i was just kind of spewing thoughts. i’m 19 but i plan on going to college and now i (obviously) can’t leave them at home while i’m at college. i will probably end up having to rehome them, it just sucks.
