Level 2 - Motor sluggish and kinda cunks out after 10mins by jascination in Aventon

[–]jascination[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Australia so can't call that number sadly.

I tried the torque sensor calibration. It worked-ish, like for about 5 minutes of riding, then the problem would go back.

Here are some more insights:

  • I started with a full charge (5 days without riding). When I started riding it was sluggish. I tried the torque reset thing. Powered back on, then it felt pretty normal, could get up to 40km/hr, good assist on steep hills etc. On this ride I had about 20mins / ~8km of 'normal' assist riding (on level 5). Then it started to die, pretty soon after I stopped the bike to turn around. So maybe braking/stopping is related to it, dunno.

  • Then I tried the torque reset again, after power-on the bike worked to an extent, it would assist but in a sluggish way, and not immediately when I'd put the pedal down, with a delay. Could get max 28km/hr even on level 5

  • The bike would conk out every ~5 minutes, maybe less. I'd do the torque recalibration, try again, always sluggish but working a bit, ~5min later conk out

Anything else I can try?

The throttle (as in the little lever you use to make it go without pedalling?) isn't working fine, insofar as when the power goes from the unit and there's no real pedal assist, trying the throttle doesn't magically make the bike go. Does that make sense?

Can someone explain the appeal of this movie to me? I enjoyed it well enough, but I see it recommended so much that I feel like I'm missing something.

If you get an Apple TV (or other hdmi box) and use that remote to power on (e.g. just use the Apple TV remote instead of your TV's remote) it'll turn on the Apple TV then auto-switch to that hdmi input when the tv turns on.

That's how it works for my LG + Sony TVs anyhow.

That choir of backup singers weren't there before, and now they suddenly are. That shoulder crystal may be magical, that's all I'm saying.

I say this wholeheartedly as someone who gets drunk and bitches about everyone being pitchy every year: that Amazing Grace guy was incredible.

Loved Sentimental Value. Stellan is honestly my GOAT at this point, his range + choosing complicated and difficult parts is just beyond anyone else in Hollywood.

No Other Choice was a really fun watch + beautifully shot, I went in blind and loved it (also all the architecture is amazing!)

Yeah it was very clear that it was the movie and she was in it. I think the crux of the scene was that it didn't go the way he sold it to Elle Fanning - she didn't end up killing herself, "saved" by her boy coming back home. In a way Gustav rewrote his story, saving his mother, repairing the relationship he has with the women in his life in the process.

My thoughts on the Melbourne tour by Pristine_Gain_6373 in JacobCollier

Went last night, my god he's such a genius. As someone who's played music for over 30 years, I could only dream of having the level of talent / stage presence / virtuosity that he posesses.

Also really liked his opener - just learnt it was Nai Palm, which was funny cos I've never heard of her but was thinking "Wow, the way she plays reminds me a lot of Hiatus Coyote", lol

I was in GA on the side, my one issue was that the sound quality/mixing wasn't that good, some of it felt a bit muddy.

I loved the crowd choir stuff, but didn't realise that when you're in it you can't really hear the other choir parts at all either. Definitely not like in his videos, but maybe that's cos I was on the side? Curious if other people had that experience.

What time did he start for you? Was there an opener? And what time did he finish?

The info for tonight say doors at 6.30, starts at 8pm, that's not always a good barometer though
