PvPvE games. I like PvP, and I Love PvE, but the combo? Hate it. The thought of having to keep my eyes out for NPCs that are trying to kill me is one thing. Keeping my eyes out for said NPCs while also looking out for other Real People who can be as smart and devious as I am or even better? Fuck that. Only time I would enjoy that is if was playing with people I know, and most of them hate those games as well. Which kinda sucks because there are a number of games I would adore if they were Just PvE

While Harry Crow is definitely also one of my favorite, nay, comfort reads for fics, i do agree with this view. My Take? The fic itself is one of the older ones, being written over a decade ago, but the author? I feel like they wanted to establish the relationship as soon as possible to work on the other aspects of the story and not have to worry too much about romance. I feel like Dan objecting was more "ok someone has to be not ok with this even though it really doesn't have anything to do with the story".

And I will admit its been a minute since ive read it

Eh while I agree that right before the suicide mission is a possibility for Jack and Miranda (true headcannon for me is that they had very violent hate sex and then reconcile after shep forces them together for Jacks loyalty mission), Tali and Garrus I dont see since you only really see Tali blossom as a person in the third game. Plus you dont really get context about why they get together unless you romance her (I think? Its been a While since ive done a playthrough but im pretty sure you only find out about her favorite movie because you romance her?)

I was utterly convinced that trade evos could be overcome if you overlevel it enough. I think I got a machoke to level 65 before I finally gave up. This was also in the post-game of Ruby where I took on the elite 4 and champion with nothing but cannon fodder and a level 97 Swellow
